(like Kip from Napolean Dynamite, just lookin' for my Shafonda or whatever her name was)
Making others laugh and enjoy themselves. I'm easy to be around and get along with.
I'm athletic and love all sports, especially playing soccer, volleyball, and tennis. I adore the outdoors - love to hike, camp, travel, kayak/canoe, and ski when I can. Good at being courteous and considerate of others.
I'm a good writer, but I expect a lot of myself, so it can be frustrating. I have two rough outlines for books and I am considering writing a book. One is a simple concept that will be rather easy to write. My hope is it would sell well because it's message is going to be powerfully empowering and freeing. I have a friend here in RDU named Michael Thompson who is having his 2nd book published later in 2013, titled 'Search And Destroy'. His first book was published in 2011, titled 'Search And Rescue'. He inspires my belief.
Lately I've been reading American Sketches by Walter Isaacson. He details his gatherings from research & interviews of icons such as Einstein, Henry Kissinger, FDR, Bill Gates, Ronald Reagan, Richard Nixon, The Clintons, Gandhi, and Ben Franklin. I'm half way through Waking The Dead, by John Eldredge, with a Wednesday morning men's group. That book has been incredible for me, life altering. WAKING THE DEAD - that book will change your life.
Movies: Documentaries first & foremost. Then comedy, drama, or action with a good plot. I actually appreciate love stories and sappiness more than most men. Those films usually contain some real-life dilemma that you can benefit from considering. ('Based on true events' is a plus.)
I like to get something positive from films now, so thriller's blood, fear and gore are unnecessary. I like leaving with a full heart, so feel-good stories are fast becoming my favorites. Marley and Me - as much as that hurt, I appreciated it's beauty in reality. Same with Passion of The Christ. I hope I never become desensitized to what those films portray.
I don't do TV shows much at all, but I do enjoy some sitcoms, like King of Queens and The Office. Sports are my weakness on TV - I'm still a sucker for some good football, soccer, or college basketball... but I'm better than I was formerly. And I'd like to continue that trend of making an effort to watch less and less.
Music: really depends on mood. I like a responsible subject matter. Sex, Money, Drugs, Anger, Intimidation, Machoism... useless foolery. I tend to prefer the pace to be slightly on the slower side. In the day I really liked Creed, Hootie & the Blowfish, and U2-Joshua Tree. I still do, but now I'm more in tune with Jack Johnson, Lifehouse (1st release), and Brandon Heath. Country music is good sometimes for a down-home feel. I like some jazz and Caribbean/island music. But I'm not entirely square- you can't deny the Black Eyed Peas are fantastic - regardless of their often poor choice of subject matter. Some Christian fav's are Jars Of Clay, Third Day, and Matt Redman. I am partial to male vocals over female vocals.
Food: I now prefer a Plant-based Diet. I find it enjoyable and notice I feel much better when I can refrain from meat and dairy. You don't realize how those foods have you feel until you've been off of them for 3 weeks and then try to integrate them again. I love Salmon Caesar Salads, Pineapple Pizza, and Salads w/Spanish olives & Catalina French dressing.
You grow most through the people you meet and the books you read. Those are the ways to gain ideas and understanding outside of your own.

Message me if you want to run with A Man of Adventure, out to finish the race set before him. If you want to snuggle on the couch with a Man of Passion, living to sing well the song God's written in his heart. A Man who knows love and desires nothing more... desires NOTHING Else but to hear the words: 'Well Done, my Good and Faithful servant!" A Man who lives to make his every decision according to what will incite those words from Our Loving God on his day. If your Heart is beating 1000 MPH right now and you will love a man like this... you should message me. I'll take your hand and, at minimum, kiss it with Kindness! Don't be afraid, Love's never known a Man like this. He's waiting to be discovered; believed in. There are many like me. Embrace your Brother with pure Faith & you will find yourself feeling the Princess of a warrior king. Believe he is Good... that His Heart is Great...... because it is, and when he follows it, he will be your worthy king.
