Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Just moved to Tahoe and have to say I am crazy about this place. I
could really use a partner in crime for exploring this amazing
place though. I'm originally from Massachusetts but travelled here
by way of a year in San Antonio, Texas. I was not much a fan of
Texas and am very happy to be in a place that I dig as much as
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work in the hospitality business (along with half the people in
this town I think). I would not say I am passionate about what I do
for work but it pays the bills and gives me the freedom to move
almost anywhere I put my mind to, so that parts good.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I enjoy good conversation (meaning talking about more than the
weather). Good food, the outdoors, snowboarding, exploring the
great Tahoe area and beyond. Oh and did I mention snowboarding?!?
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm a bit on the tall side and pretty lean too. People often ask me
if I'm Russian or German (no and only a little). So I guess picture
a tall Russian or German. I may look a little intense if you catch
me deep in thought but I assure you I'm a friendly guy and I'm
probably thinking of something really interesting that I would be
more than happy to converse with you about.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I read mostly non-fiction history, biography and popular science
type books. But I do enjoy a good novel as well. Kurt Vonnegut was
my favorite fiction author but now I think Steinbeck has dethroned
him after I went on a bit of a kick reading Grapes of Wrath and
East of Eden to psych me up to move out west. Also like Kerouac,
Camus, Hemingway and a smattering of others.
As far as television goes I like absurd comedies like early season
The Simpsons, MTVs The State (from the early 90s) for recent
comedies Portlandia, East Bound and Down, Arrested Development
don't really watch much broadcast television but if you're really
into 30 Rock or Community you won't have to twist my arm to get me
to watch it with you.
I really prefer intense dramas of the HBO post-modern variety where
main characters actually might die. Boardwalk Empire, Game of
Thrones, Sopranos and Treme are great.
Also really weird out there documentaries fascinate me. Things like
The Wonderful and Wild Whites of West Virginia, Life on the Mesa,
Dark Days and most of the journalism videos on www.vice.com
For food I like a good steak but can enjoy vegetarian cuisine as
well. Really not crazy about most fake meat so if you're a
vegetarian lets just make meals that are supposed to be made with
vegetables instead of faking meat. Sushi is great, Vietnamese Pho
Soup is a favorite and I'll never turn down a good falafel. I guess
here is a good place to mention I like to sample lots of quality
micro-brew beers and I'm a bit of a coffee snob.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Huge collection of music w/ decent speakers.
Being able to get in touch with friends and family when I need
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
My place in the universe.
What's that song stuck in my head.
What crazy awesome people I haven't met yet, but will. (you could
be one of those!)
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Too soon to tell what a typical Friday night in Tahoe will be for
me. Back in San Antonio it was going to see music at bars, going on
big collective bike rides (sort of like critical mass) or having
friends over to the apartment to hang out and be lazy.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Back when I was a little kid my neighbors made fun of my big head
calling me Tomato Head. Luckily I grew into it, I think (maybe
people are just more polite now?).

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You're a reasonably laid back girl whose default state of being
isn't super stressed or crazy (I can handle small doses of those
but not constant). You want to go out and explore new restaurants,
go hiking, skiing/snowboarding or even better suggest things I
haven't done before. Reading a few blurbs on a profile don't really
describe a person well so if I've piqued your interest message me
to get a better feel and maybe we can meet up and see if we click.
