My favorite me-invented word is "punmanteau". I think my favorite real word is probably "scuppered".

I try to never send crappy, "Heyy grrl" messages. I prefer to send something unique to the person. I've sent poems, Dr. Seussish rhymes, engaged in witty (hopefully) banter, and compliments of all kinds. If you want a unique message from a guy who cares about you more than just a pretty picture, I might be your last stop, this town. (Incidentally, best Eels song ever.)

Note: the beard is gone! I set fire to it, or something.

I'm your normal, work-a-day computer consultant. I like to write stories, play games (both computer and board and chess/Scrabble and so on), read, and go to good restaurants for good food. I like movies, though lately it seems like most stuff is just repeats of stuff I saw in the 80s, with slightly better CGI.

I try to exercise a lot because as a programmer, it's hard to keep my girlish figure that I never even had.

I'm also working on a few side projects and at some point or another here, I'm going to try starting my own Android programming consulting company.

I have several stories in the writing. I started writing again because it's a kind of therapy for me, and it makes me intensely happy to think about new worlds and ways of life. I'm working on a novel and several short stories.

Finally, I'm lifting like a madman. I used to be quite a big guy, and I want to get that back. One of my favorite things to do is work myself to sheer exhaustion, then shower and collapse into a puddle of human flesh. Please do not assume this makes me a douchebag.

Food: Good steak and good, dark-as-night red wine

Music - the only thing that can inspire a tremendously bored programmer
Feminism - without it, I wouldn't be who I am today, and it is far more important to me than any of these other things
Laughter/humor - Laughter is so beautiful, so sweet, so melodic. Humor causes laughter, in general. I love it.
Beautiful smiles - I just love 'em.
Brains - Maybe another literal one - I could not do without my own brain, and other brains to help out on occasion. Also branes, but that's a totally different story.
Friendship - I love everyone, but especially my friends, who have saved me from many-a-stupid act over the years. Thanks all.

Watching a movie, or splitting a bottle of a good red with someone, or playing a game. Or various and sundry other possibilities.

I am divorced. I also recently gave up alcohol for the foreseeable future. These two things are unrelated. Nothing against alcohol, just wanted to lose weight and keep my head clear in these times of stress.

You are a non-smoker (almost the most important), you are sex-positive, open-minded but discerning, think that heteronormativity is utterly ridiculous, know the keycodes for the character map on your keyboard, or for no discernible reason like my profile and thought there was something that was worthy of messaging me. Especially if you realize that a person cannot be summarized in an online profile, and that everyone has something special... you just have to find it.
