My Self-Summary

The word "curiousity" pretty much sums me up. I love to learn, go new places, see new things, taste new food, meet people I connect with. I guess that's why I'm here :-) I love my two "kids" and my animals and hate rednecked yokels. I am a wolf therian. I love pretty much anything outdoorsy, including camping, hiking, fishing, what have you...I just don't get to do it much.
I have a vegetable garden. I hate weeding it, but there's something very spiritual about watching a seed turn into something yummy.

What I’m doing with my life

Taking college courses that will hopefully help get me into Medical School, parenting my teenagers, howling in the woods, and just generally staying way too busy

Expressing my thoughts and emotions with my face. It makes me a bad liar, so I don't even try.
Making spaghetti, or any other tomato dish.
Interpreting what animals are trying to 'say'.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

(a)Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind. ABVH series by Laurell K. Hamilton. Earth's Children series by Jean Auel. Tolkien . I recently read Contact by Carl Sagan, and this guy is my frigging hero--have to get more of his stuff.
(b) All-time favorites are Conan The Barbarian/The Destroyer, and the Tarzan movie with Christopher Lambert. Other than that, there is a long list of movies I love. You'll just have to ask.
(c) Weird Al , Phil Collins, Peter Gabriel, Peter Frampton, Def Leppard, Metallica, many varied others old and new. I'm not huge on country or rap, but there are a few songs in both genres I find tolerable.
(d) I love food. Almost any food. I'm not a vegetarian, but would eat that way more often (hey, it's healthy, right?) if I could afford it and someone else did the cooking. There's a restaurant in Ottawa called The Green Door that makes me drool just thinking about it. That said, I crave bloody hunks of meat fairly frequently. My favorite MEAL is a turkey dinner with all the trimmings.

The six things I could never do without

Besides the obvious? My kids. Learning. My animals. The forest. Bodies of water (preferably the ocean, but even a creek will do in a pinch). My toothbrush. Shampoo.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Everything. my brain flits from one subject to the next, often faster than my mouth can catch up (thankfully)

On a typical Friday night I am

If I'm not working, I am probably watching a movie and drinking beer.

I sometimes sleep with a stuffed animal I've had since I was six days old.
