My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm not a complete idiot. You could do worse.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I spend much of my time working on really awful reality television shows. I mean, just god-awful stuff. While I generally loathe the content, I love the creative process and take tremendous pride in my work.

Aside from that, I spend the remainder of my days trying to stay in shape and better myself and the world around me. "Trying" being the operative word. And of course looking to just make one person happy by sharing the happiness I have with her.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
- Finding a vegan option in just about any menu. You just gotta be super friendly with the server and apologize in advance for being That Guy.

- Also making an awkward situation WAAAAY more awkward by pointing out how awkward it is.
The first things people usually notice about me

I've been told a few times I'm much better looking in person. Thanks. That just bodes so well for me on here.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books? Growing up I enjoyed The Good Earth, Lord of the Flies, and just about anything Shakespeare. These days I'm fascinated by books like Confessions of an Economic Hitman, The Alchemist, The DaVinci Code (I liked the subject of the story, the writing…was meh). Recently finished Damned by Palahniuk. Currently reading The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao, and Synchronic: 13 Tales of Time Travel.

Movies? I quote comedies…a lot. So you know I like those. I think the 80's was the best decade for movies, hands down. Aside from that, the list is infinite. I have a special place in my heart for Leon (aka The Professional here in the States) and So I Married An Axe Murderer. The former inspired me to go to film school, while the latter is a good representation of my kind of humor. If you get it, you'll get me.

TV? The Wonder Years, Scrubs, Firefly, Arrested Development (S1 to 3, S4 sucked), BSG, Seinfeld, The League, Archer, The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad of course, Coupling (UK), too many to list. I think we'd all agree most HBO and Netflix shows are winners, along with AMC and FX/FXX. I have no interest in reality tv even though it's what pays my bills. Go figure.

Music? Again, almost everything from the 80's was awesome. From MJ (pop) to Van Halen (rock) to The Cure (alternative) to Journey (just plain awesome). My formative/high school years fell right smack in the middle of the Grunge/Ska Punk era, so I'm also a fan of that whole sound, from Nirvana to STP to Sublime to RHCP. Random samples off the top of my head: Faces, The Black Crowes, The Black Keys, Company of Thieves, Imagine Dragons, Coldplay, Cypress Hill, Weezer, Of Monsters And Men, Queen, Rage Against The Machine, System of a Down, Public Enemy, Otis Taylor, The Temptations, The Four Tops, Little Richard, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Luis Enrique, Ray Baretto, Céu, Vieux Farka Touré. Pretty much like anything but country. Well, some country is okay, such as Willie and Johnny.

Food? Anything vegan.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
It was suggested to me to put some serious thought into this. Here are the results:

1) Laughter, the kind you share after a moment so hilarious your stomach hurts, your eyes water, your head is pounding, and your heart is at its most content.
2) Accomplishment, the kind you feel after attaining that which you once saw as nearly impossible. You're left standing there tall, proud, exhausted, and overwhelmed with emotion.
3) Failure, the kind that teaches you to value that which you have and will accomplish. The kind that stings, hard. Might even scar you. But it teaches you a lesson you will never ever forget.
4) Friendship, the kind where time is of no consequence. You can pick up right where you left off, whether two hours or two years have passed.
5) Family, the bond that is shared and the promise that we are in it together for the long haul, come better or worse, because nothing is stronger than blood.
6) Love, not the kind you receive but the kind you give. To yourself and to others. Unrestricted, unconditional, unquestionable. You can't give a greater gift.

Cheesy, I know. But hey, you asked.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Saying the following... "Baby, you got everything I need tonight!" …as I open up the fridge. #ForeverAlone

Or out meeting the wonderful women of LA.

Or home writing some music.

I have a very fulfilling life.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I worked a long-ass day once, came home starving and had no square bread. So I made a PB&J using hot dog buns. Damn straight. No shame in my game.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
- You read this far down and agree that I may not be the biggest idiot you've come across on this dating site.
- You're willing to go Salsa dancing with me and put up with my noob status. I'm currently taking intermediate classes. I've got some moves, which I'd love to practice with a partner.
- You want my body, and you think I'm sexy.
- You're any one or a combination of the following: vegan, vegetarian, veg-friendly, cat-loving, dog-loving, animal-loving, liberal, progressive, atheist, agnostic, spiritual but not religious, fun, adventurous, compassionate, confident in who you are, grown up enough to know and appreciate the difference between a bad boy and a good man.
- You're none of the above but said "fuck it." I like a woman with conviction.
- You saw the short film Paperman and said to yourself "I want THAT."
- At its most basic, I'm looking for a relationship where everything is better when we're with each other. We're great on our own, even better when we're with together. It's that simple.
- Lastly, because you just never know.
