am i allowed to be an unrealistic idealist here? how about self-describe by proxy? yeah? great! ok, then i'd like to meet someone who personifies or at least aspires to similar things as me, which is to say someone with: self-respect, passion (and the ability to dispassionately and deeply discuss stuff), wit, focus, charm, engaged/engaging, interested/interesting, artistic and/or at least moved by artistic expression. someone who has a punk rock past or present.

um, excellent question? i once traded some kind of advanced degree on an impressive-sounding title, then left and was on the path to four-hour work weeks and raising island babies. but i sold out. in my defense, i think this will get me to the beach faster. in other words, i work online.

- in the broadest sense, people who do not adhere to the golden rule. it would be great to be nice and not an asshole. but if you're an asshole, don't fake being nice when it suits some goal of yours. just be an asshole all the time. you'll sleep better.
- people who don't like music.
- people who say they like music but don't "get" musicians like james brown or bob marley. fuck those people.
- people who don't like comedy.
- people who say they like comedy but don't "get" comedy such as george carlin, monty python, louis c.k., judd apatow, marc maron, j.b. smoove or when things kick guys in the balls. this should happen to those people:
