I am discerning, loyal, and ambitious.

My Self-Summary

I am a college student studying in Manhattan—originally from DC—and loving every minute of it. Some of my favorite things to get involved with are: a good cup of coffee or tea, writing, baking, exploratory walks around the city, playing with my friends, and semi-harrassing my gay husband MidnightMimosas.

I love to learn, from the big-picture to random potentially-useless details. I’m a fantastic non-Jewish Jew (much to the delight of one of my best friends, myg211, when she leads weekly Shabbat in our apartment and I've got everything down and bring my goy-ish enthusiasm), but I was also raised Catholic, went to Episcopal school, and am fairly non-committal on the matter of dogmatic ascription.

I love shoes. I volunteer playing bingo with the elderly every week when I'm at home. I cut the tops off of cake at dining halls because I'm in it for the frosting. My dad raised me to be a hockey fan, which some people find really surprising from me, but I love the sport and watching games, especially with him.

I'm a little indecisive, but I like to think of it as having a broad range of interests and not liking to limit myself in them. Which seldom gets my friends to stop making fun of me when I debate at length over a menu on occasion.

That's a decent enough introduction, I think, but if there's anything else you'd like to know, I'd be delighted to talk to you!

What I’m doing with my life

I'm currently an undergrad at NYU double-majoring in Journalism and something yet to be determined.

The first things people usually notice about me

Maybe my enthusiasm, my intellect, or my sense of humor.

The six things I could never do without

My friends.
Oven mitts.
My parents.
Books/periodicals.
Wordplay.
My Blackberry (I'm appropriately embarrassed to admit that).

You should message me if

I'm really looking for someone to be both a great friend and a counterpart in a relationship. I want someone who can make me laugh and also be supportive and caring. Someone who wants to call or text to say hi. I'm looking for both someone to make out at movies with and to bake cookies for. I hope to hear from you.
