My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
• About to update my skills with an eight-month PR course at Cambrian. Unless someone offers me the job of my dreams in the next two weeks. =)
• Yes, I'm really that short. ;P
• I speak Italian because my mom's parents never learned English. I've also begun studying German, in a half-assed kinda way.
• I have a Master's degree in Communication and Social Justice.
• I wrote my thesis on Canadian independent music as political action. This led directly to me kinda-sorta managing an indie music collective for a while. It also set me on the path towards every significant thing that's happened to me in the past three years.
• I write. Well. Really well. I'm currently preparing for an 8-month one-on-one mentorship-type thing with Camilla Gibb. Can't wait for September!
• I can't decide if Berlin or Warsaw is my favourite city in the world.
• There's a particular CD I listen to when I'm scared or lonely or sad and it makes me feel better. Or worse, depending on what's happened. Either way, it's that CD.
• I taught ESL at U of T until the end of December. Now I'm going to concentrate on the Creative Writing course I'm doing through Humber.
• My nose has been pierced since I was 21 or so. More recently, I got a tattoo right between my shoulder blades. I love it.
• I adore dogs. The bigger, the better. I'm perfectly happy to play with a bull mastiff, but chihuahuas terrify me.
• I've learned to love cats, too. In fact, I have one - a neurotic little ginger-and-white male named Sid (Vicious).
• Moxy Fruvous still ranks high on my list of favourite bands. I will fight with you about this.
• I love going for walks. Especially when there's a Cold Stone Creamery at the end.
• I think M*A*S*H, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and The X-Files were absolutely incredible pieces of pop culture.
• I may be a little bit in love with Johnny Lee Miller as Sherlock Holmes.
• I don't reply to messages from people who haven't posted pictures. I've gotten a lot of these lately and, frankly, it makes no sense. I mean, you wouldn't approach me on the street with a bag over your head, would you? And if you would, then I'm probably not all that into you anyway... ;P
• I'm not interested in helping attached men cheat on their significant others. If that's what you take from my 'most private thing I'm willing to admit', then read it again. Use a dictionary if you need to. Open relationship - all good. Cheating - sod off. Please. =)

The most private thing I’m willing to admit

I don't think that monogamy is the only choice out there. I'm not against it, I just believe other options have an equal chance of working.

Also, I just realized that if I keep clicking on that Favourites button, all I'll do is add and remove the same person several times - it doesn't actually make the website function more quickly. ;)
