I am intellegent, shy, and open-minded.

My Self-Summary

When I first meet people, I tend to be shy and reserved, but once I get to know them better, I have no problem opening up and being myself. I like to keep an open mind, and enjoy learning and trying new things. I was born in Philly and returned here to attend Temple University, though technically I live in a small town not far away. Reading and writing are a big part of my life, and I thoroughly enjoy both. After I graduate from Temple, I would like to pursue a career as a literary agent while trying to establish myself as an author.

I was raised a Catholic, but in the past years I've drifted towards agnosticism. Nothing against religion, of course, I just like to look at things from every angle, and different belief systems are interesting in their own way.

Normally, I prefer keeping a small group of close friends. Casual friends are fine, but I'm happier when I can get to know someone better and form a closer relationship.

I come from a fairly large Italian family (please note that I can only speak a handful of words in Italian), and we all try to stay close.

To wrap things up, I should probably explain the French part of my bio. I've taken classes since middle school, and, if in France, I could probably squeak by, but a true French-speaking person would probably find my use of the language atrocious.

What I’m doing with my life

I am currently enrolled in college and working towards a degree in political science, but may switch to English. I work part-time at a bank..

I’m really good at

Writing, though I am unpublished. I also practice Tae Kwon Do a bit.

The first things people usually notice about me

Physically, my hair. It's a normal shade, brunette, and I never dye it, but it's very thick and usually curly.

As far as personality goes, I am usually quiet and reserved. However, once I get to know someone better I am more outgoing.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I enjoy both reading and writing fantasy above other genres, but I am willing to read just about anything. For the most part, I dislike Science Fiction, but it depends on the book. My favorite author (currently) is Kelley Armstrong. Also, I grew up with Harry Potter, it will always be one of my favorites (books, I mean. The movies were just so-so). However, as much as I like fantasy, I dislike Twilight and the fact that it is becoming so cult-like.

I like a broad variety of movies, and I'll watch almost any genre, but if I had to pick one, I'd probably say horror. I guess some examples of the other types would be The Dark Knight, Dead Poet's Society, My Sister's keeper (though the book was better), Halloween (original), The number 23, Doubt, Jurassic Park 1&2, Jaws, and most of the older Disney movies. (never too old for Disney!)

TV: not a category, but I might as well. I love Law and Order, Law and Order SVU, House, Iron Chef series, White Collar (new and awesome) and a bunch of others.

As far as music goes, I judge by the song, not the genre. I listen to everything from Rock to Country (well, a very select few country songs). My favorite bands include Nickelback, Skillet, Linkin Park, and Staind. Also, I'm a bit of a sucker for a song that can make me cry.

For food, I enjoy cooking and eating Italian food above other cuisines, but I also enjoy Japanese, American and others. I'll try anything once.

The six things I could never do without

My family and friends are the first two that come to mind. My writing is another important one. As for the other three, I would have to say my library, my dogs and some degree of personal space.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Ha, what don't I spend a lot of time thinking about? I think about my future plans, as well as my immediate goals. I worry about money a bit (who doesn't?). For the most part, I do try to stay positive.

On a typical Friday night I am

It depends on the school day. If I have homework, I like to get it out of the way, but if it can be accomplished easily, I like to relax. I'll do some writing, watch a little TV, read, or something else to help me unwind. When I go out, it's usually on Saturdays or Sundays, but I have no problem going out on a Friday night.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

That's hard to answer, it depends on the situation. If something is too personal, I will say so, but I will answer most questions.

You should message me if

You're interested in getting to know me better, possibly for a relationship.
