My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm tall, confident and funny. I'm also silly and fun to be around. I'm full of energy and happy with life, and I don't sweat the small stuff anymore. One of my jobs is that I write satire and humor and I actually get paid for doing it! So I can be something of a goof. I'm happy with who I've become, and who I'm still becoming, and I wouldn't want to be anyone else -- except maybe Brad Pitt when Angelina's in heat. I'm very active and healthy, strong and fit and I take pretty good care of myself. My personality is very outgoing and I can talk to anyone, and I truly like people, most of them anyway. I'm fortunate to have reached a point in my life where I can start giving back to the world and I am very active in a local community charity which I strongly believe in. Politically, I'm fairly liberal and my conservative friends call me a 'bleeding heart' which may or may not be true, and I don't care if it is or isn't. I'm blessed with a flexible and creative mind that never seems to bog down and I recognize that my opinions and beliefs are constantly evolving, usually for the better. Now that my child-raising days are behind me my focus is to continue improving myself and the world one baby step at a time, for however much time I have left.

What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Learning to flinch.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Smiling, cooking, writing, beating up conservatives, sleeping, running backwards, telling time, holding hands, opening wine bottles, making paper airplanes, eating, telling the truth, painting toenails, tanning, being faithful, smelling flowers, making coffee, sharpening pencils, swatting flies, spotting tipos, and blowing up balloons.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My smile, of course. And I tend to do that a lot!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I'm an avid reader and I enjoy everything from history to the classics, which I'm currently devouring. I just finished Jack London's "Call of the Wild" and "White Fang" and I'm still blown away by them. I love comedies and my favorites are Sienfeld, Larry David, Two and a Half Knuckleheads... I still like the old Andy Griffith Show reruns. I want to live in Mayberry and have a girlfriend just like Helen Crump. But I guess I'll stay in Duxbury. Are there any Helen Crumps out there?
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My reading glasses! Ice cubes! Shoes! The friends and family I'm blessed to have.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What makes a joke funny to one person and an insult to another. My work is published in a major magazine and the diversity of feedback occasionally confuses me. I think that as a society we've become too sensitive, too serious, and along the way we've forgotten that we are supposed to be having fun with each other. Life is meant to be fun and playful. We are loving, playful, creative creatures lucky to have been born in a part of the world where we are free to be happy. Says so right in the United States Constitution!

I'm also thinking, today anyway, that it may not be a good idea to outlive an enemy. My concern is that he'll get into heaven and start trash-talking me so that when I finally do get past The Gate nobody will want to know me.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Cruising around on my motorcycle or tiny sportscar with no real destination in mind, happy just knowing that I'm always where I'm supposed to be. If I'm fortunate enough to have companionship that evening, the bike stays parked and the cocktails start flying!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I occasionally enjoy a chick flick. Please don't tell anyone.

You want to. But please, no serial daters. I've had enough of them. You know who you are. I'm looking for a real girlfriend.
