My self-summary
I think before I speak. This has a pleasant side-effect of people believing me to be smarter than I am. This also means that I talk less than most.

I value people's time and respect all ways in which they might choose to spend it. Thus, I am extremely punctual. I expect others to respect my time as well.

I try to see things without societal bias. My social views are very liberal. I behave rather conservatively despite this.

I enjoy net sports. I am closest to competent at badminton, but volleyball and tennis (and the table-top variety) are also fun.

I enjoy gaming. This includes your euro-style board games (Settlers is probably the most common example of one of these), Magic (the trading card game), as well as computer games, mostly in the RPG and MOBA genres. I prefer an element of randomness and hidden information in what I play.
What I’m doing with my life
Immersing myself in select games and media.

Helping architect the data storage layer of an enterprise social webapp meant for millions of users (which is not there yet.)

Saving up money so that mortgage loan that I'll need in order to buy a home in the bay area hurts as little as possible.
I’m really good at
Not much, but I'm better than average at:
-Logical thinking
-Making myself sound cold and unfun
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I like fantasy fiction. I tend to not remember the authors and titles of what I read, though, as I will almost always only read a title and author at most once. Some authors that I enjoy include Terry Pratchett and Tad Williams. I also read manga and what translated Japanese light-novels I can get my hands on.

The last time I watched a movie, I was an undergrad.

I pick out a few anime shows to watch each season. Some favorites are Bakemonogatari and Steins;Gate.

I enjoy listening to ナノ, supercell, and Syrufit, and listen to a lot of japanese pop in general.

I'm probably the most lukewarm towards Chinese food in general, though there are certain dishes that are quite delicious. Otherwise, unless it's too exotic, I'll tend to like it.
The six things I could never do without
-My eyes
-My hands
-The internet
-Other people
-Basic necessities to support life
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Recently, how integral the bait and switch is to living as a part of society. When we engage in new social interactions, such as in a job interview or in a date, we are told to put forth our best faces, almost always to the point where we stretch the truth. If we do not, we are at a disadvantage since everybody else does. Once this bait has been taken, we can let more and more of our less than perfect selves show; they will often be accepted because we are already there.

Also recently, I think about what kinds of issues we all keep hidden from others and the reasons that we do so. There are probably things that I hide that others already know, but they in turn hide that knowledge from me, out of consideration.
On a typical Friday night I am
FNM, reading, gaming, watching a show.
