I'm going to start by explaining an adjective!

TCFMOG was given to me by a friend -- it stands for 'Too creative for my own good.' This goes along with the joke that my muse is named Emily, that she never sleeps and that she doubles as my imaginary girlfriend. There's also a popular theory that she consumes a large amount of caffeine, but this is a theory that has yet to be proven.

As you might guess, I'm do a lot of artsy things -- sewing, quilting, writing, painting, knitting, crocheting, photography, beadwork, and occasionally things involving power tools.

I like shiny things.

Please understand -- I'm poly and I am involved with a few people and have been for some time. I am NOT going to break up with them for you, no matter how interesting you might be. I am not going to devote 100% of my time to anyone, either -- if you're interesting and fun to talk to, I'll be happy to talk with you and meet you and see where things go. But I'm not monogamous and trying to force me into that particular mold will just make me cranky. I will bite. Hard. And not in that fun and tingly way.

Which leads to the next important detail -- I'm kinked toward being heavily dominant with a high dose of sadism tossed in just for fun. It isn't completely necessary in my relationships (since sex isn't completely necessary) but if the relationship is sexual, I can assure you that it would be something that would be discussed. If you are male, this is particularly true because men just bring out my tendency to want to tie someone up and hurt them in fun and creative ways. *grins*

If you're a male and you message me or IM me, please understand that I DO like girls and that isn't going to change. Trying to convince me that I don't or asking to watch me kiss a girl is going to make me cranky. Then we're back to that biting and not in the fun way thing and no one has fun.

Okay, warnings done now. I don't want to sound harsh, but I've done the personal site thing before and I just like to make sure that people know what they're getting into ahead of time.

Er. I don't really know what else to add here right now -- I'm doing this because the friend who dragged me here was pouting because I didn't have anything interesting here for her to read.

I dream and create and imagine and build and chase after shiny things. I also teach little kids and try to make them better readers. Again, I'll add to this later, I'm very sure. So we'll call this a placeholder for now.

* Reading very quickly and remembering what I read

* Writing scarily purple prose and then giggling at myself

* Laughter

* Collecting yarn and knitting needles and crochet hooks and projects that I want to collect

* Chasing after and catching shiny things

* Convincing delicate plants to live and thrive -- I have three plumeria plants that I started from seed several years ago.

* Petting cats. Or so my cats tell me all the time.

* Very often my laughter -- this has been one of those things commented on time and time again.

* Eyes would be on the list -- everyone I've ever been involved with has told me about my eyes and one person was fascinated with just sitting and watching the colors and watching them change colors. They react to my moods and some other things and they really do change color. Freaky-weird.

* Hair would also be on the list. It tends to either be rather short and the curl goes wild or very very long (butt-length or longer) or in one of the weird in-between stages. I have silver highlights, which is just fun, because how cool is metallic silver instead of gray with age?

1) My pets -- The cats and dog[ especially, though I also love the chickens more than a sane person probably should.

2) My friends and loves.

3) Books. Lots and lots of books to read, fiction and non-fiction.

4) Music, from a wide variety of genres.

5) Crafty stuff to keep my hands busy.

6) Land and plants and green and growing things.

I don't really know about typical, but ...

1) watching a movie and knitting/crochet/petting a cat
2) playing a silly computer game or video game
3) sleeping because it was a very long week
4) babysitting for the children of a friend or neighbor so that they can do 'married couple night out without kids'
5) doing something for work -- which would mean going to a school event and being seen as 'teacher supporting students'
6) something else entirely

I'm poly, pagan, bisexual and definitely kinked toward being dominant and more than a touch sadistic.

I'm attracted to a lot more girls than I am boys, though the boys that I'm attracted to, I'm REALLY attracted to.

I've not had sex since the spring of 2005 because while I've been in a relationship for this entire time, the relationship is complex and I don't have sex without deep emotional bonds.

You understand that 'poly' does not equal 'will have sex with anyone.'

You understand that I'm here to meet people and while I'm not closed to the idea of a romantic relationship developing, I'm much more likely to be interested in that with a woman than a man.

You understand that I have a few people in my life already who I am deeply emotionally committed to (see definition of poly, please) and I'm not going to leave them for you.
