My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Things I like: My parents, my brothers, my cat, probably your dog, shoes, Raymond Carver, Roland Deschain, Tom Waits, the Lego video games, Black Sabbath, The Coen Brothers, This American Life, John Carpenter, long walks on the beach, the color black, Wired Magazine, and the smell of roses.

Things I don't like: the Tea Party, squeaky voices, selfishness, those who lack a sense of humor, cold weather, cooking, romantic comedies, most pop music, being broke, and Adam Sandler.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm currently working for a major e-commerce company in the area. I spent loads of money on a degree that I'm not using at the moment and hope to change that someday soon. Other than that, I'm counting down the months until I can get out of the Arctic tundra that is Omaha in the winter.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Listening, making inappropriate jokes, guessing a woman's shoe size just by looking at her feet, giving advice that I would never take, taking things apart just to see if I can put them back together just the way they were, visualizing world peace or a post apocalyptic earth (depending on my mood), and many other things I'm sure you'd be delighted by.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
You'd have to ask them. I like to think it's my undeniable charm and my vast knowledge of random trivia, but I'm guessing that's not the case.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Heart of Darkness, The Stranger, The Dark Tower series, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, most works by Cormac McCarthy, Philip K. Dick, Hunter S. Thompson, and really anything that keeps me interested. I find myself reading a lot of nonfiction lately though.

A few films I can watch over and over again: The Thing (the Kurt Russel version), Magnolia, Barton Fink, Wild at Heart, Blade Runner, An American Werewolf in London, Fletch.

TV: BBC has some great stuff right now, Ripper Street, Sherlock, Doctor Who. I also like It's Always Sunny, The Daily Show, and any incarnation of Law & Order.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
If we're being honest here, didn't Maslow already kind of sum this up for all of humanity with his hierarchy of needs? You know, physiological needs, safety, love, esteem, etc.?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Texas!!! I'm from Texas, I love it, I miss it, I can't wait to get back. Other than that, I think about jokes I'm gonna tell someone later that are really gonna kill, they mostly kill me, but you know, aren't we all just really trying to make ourselves laugh?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Being a homebody. I spent too many years thinking it was important to be out all the time, that I was missing something if I stayed home. Lately, I've taken the time to slow down and enjoy being home with a good book or a good movie. I do enjoy going out, just not so often.
