I am tenacious, affectionate, and intense.

My Self-Summary

I'm a spunky but sweet redhead. Intelligent, but I'm not one to put others down. I love nothing more than rock music and reading good books. I like to write fiction, too, and I'm hoping to get some of my work published in the coming months/years. I enjoy coffee houses like any other writer, tranquil night skies, and going for long drives. Also, things that smell nice are a big interest of mine...lotions, perfumes, incense, candles. That's me in a nutshell. E-mail me if you'd like to know more!

What I’m doing with my life

I was formerly a DJ at my college radio station, Woo 91. I played all kinds of music, mostly grunge, classic rock, modern rock, metal, and everything in-between. I had so much fun, I've decided to make radio my career! Pretty soon I'm hoping to take classes at the Ohio Center for Broadcasting, but for right now I'm taking some time off after graduating college. My immediate goal is to find a job I like, and then get my first apartment (hopefully in Lakewood!) and really settle into the independent, city girl kind of life!

Also, a couple months ago I finished writing my first novel, called "It Happened Here." It's an alternate history/ghost story novel about a town that housed a factory that was used in the early 1940s by German Nazi immigrants to attempt to carry out the Holocaust. It worked - hundreds of Jews in the neighborhood were killed, and the Nazis were on the verge of branching out. Flash forward to 2008: 17-year old Tori moves into the neighborhood, gets a job to clean out the factory, and bit by bit learns of its horrible (and very much unfinished) history. She must deal with the restless spirits of the past and acknowledge the one thing that the entire town won't: that the Holocaust DID happen in America.

Pretty heavy stuff, right? And I'm churning around another idea for a novel that has to do with a particularly insidious sorority, with a couple of evil bitches that corrupt the group and end up causing one girl's untimely death. It will be a thriller kind of story, and I'm pretty excited to start working on it!

I’m really good at

Picking out songs from the 70s and 80s that I've never heard before, but being able to tell exactly which artist does them. I always impress my parents with that talent.

Listening to others is another talent. And that means you. Message me and find out!

The first things people usually notice about me

I've been told I have a really pleasant voice. I used to do some acting, so I know how to project. I think it surprises people that so much sound comes from my tiny self.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

The six things I could never do without

God, my family, Chinese food, my car, my contacts (glasses are effin' annoying), and MUSIC.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

What my future is going to be like. I want to have a career in radio and get my fiction published, have a husband and kids, and eventually move somewhere like Boston or Chicago. But until then, I'm going to be young and have as much fun as I can!

On a typical Friday night I am

It depends. Sometimes I'll spend a quiet night in with the girls knitting, drinking, and watching movies. Other times you'll find me at a party. I'm usually the aloof one standing on the wall.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I'm downright anti-Politically Correct. That doesn't mean that I don't respect others, but I hate how we put on kid gloves for everything in our country. It's ridiculous! People need to lighten up and not take themselves so seriously.

You should message me if

you're interested in some casual but intelligent (and occasionally dorky!) conversation. And who knows. If the sparks fly, it could lead to much, much more. ;)
