I am empathetic, discerning, and prolix.
My Self-Summary
I should write something witty, here... but it's so much more
interesting the be "interviewed". I learn a lot about you by the
questions you ask. ;)
"Music is a secret exercise in arithmetic of the soul, unaware
of its act of counting." - Gottfried Leibniz
Followed is a part of my all-time favorite song. It is my
anthem, and if you understand it, you understand me. As with
all art forms, every single person has their own interpretations of
the art observed. I get a deep sense of warm humanism from this
song, and the curiosity and fearlessness that everyone needs to
make it through this chance at life. We are our own gods, and as
such we have the power to do anything that we muster the strength
to do. There truly is nothing beyond our grasp, so long as one lets
one's mind be as unique and chaotic as it is.
TOOL - Lateralus (Partial)
Feed my will to feel this moment; urging me to cross the line.
Reaching out to embrace the random; reaching out to embrace
whatever may come.
Embrace my desire to embrace my desire to feel the rhythm, to feel
connected; enough to step aside and weep like a widow. To feel
inspired, to fathom the power, to witness the beauty; to bathe in
the fountain.
To swing on the spiral, to swing on the spiral, to swing on the
spiral of our divinity and still be a human.
With my feet upon the ground I lose myself between the
sounds, and open wide to suck it in; I feel it move across my skin.
I'm reaching up and reaching out; I'm reaching for the random, or
whatever will bewilder me - whatever will bewilder me. And
following our will and wind we may just go where no one's been.
We'll ride the spiral to the end; it may just go where no one's
been.
"Man is a rope, tied between beast and overman--a rope over an
abyss. A dangerous across, a dangerous on-the-way, a dangerous
looking-back, a dangerous shuddering and stopping. What is great in
man is that he is a bridge and not an end: what can be loved in man
is that he is an overture and a going under. I love those who do
not know how to live, for they are those who cross over." -
Friedrich Nietzsche, "Thus Spoke Zarathustra".
What I’m doing with my life
Currently, I'm attending
college here in the Phoenix metro area.
Maybe I'll just get a degree where my talent is; computers. Maybe
film. Maybe combine the two?
Practicing Humanism to its fullest extent, but not obsessively or
in a cult-like manner. It's not a cult, people. Scientology is.
(sorry if that offended you) I love
evolutionary psychology
If you're still cool with me, then skip the rest; you've earned
it.
I’m really good at
Computers,
Gaming,
Science,
Understanding,
Astronomy,
Manners,
Caring,
Loving,
Commitment,
Forgiveness,
Sex,
Cunnilingus, Seeing the
Best in People,
Accepting the Worst in
People,
Tolorance. Oh, and
arguing. I will argue my points
until you can prove me otherwise... Perhaps that's why I'm
agnostic. Hmmm.
Being Quiet.
The first things people usually notice about me
My
presence, my
intellect, my
selflessness,
my
shyness, my
compassion. I
really don't know because I'm not other people. And my cynicism.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
(a)Any book or any movie that makes me laugh or think, music that
has meaning and that I can relate to, and I enjoy my (d)ice
cream.
(b)Movies: I like a lot of films. A lot. I'll just name a few of my
favorites.
It Happened One Night (1934)
Citizen Kane (1941)
On The Waterfront (1954)
Any Stanley Kubrick film (really.)
A Few Good Men (1992)
The Big Lebowski (1998)
omg I hate listing like this because I know I'm missing so
many...but I don't have that much room to type (or the
patience).
Meh, I'll fix the music part, later. Just know that I like a wide
range of music. Look for "Xan81" on last.fm if you wanna monitor my
music listening habits.
The six things I could never do without
Love,
family,
friends,
intellect,
logic, and a
computer (not *just* a PC.. ANY
computer that is a computer by definition). This is assuming the
bare essentials for sustaining life are granted. Were these
supposed to be tactile things?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Humanism.
Life; past, present, and future. I don't like being idle for too
long.
Thinking. (Yes, thinking about thinking. Some call it
"philosophising"). Why is it common to call this planet "the
Earth"? Why don't we say "the Mars"? Idiocy. Try using "Terra" for
Earth (because wouldn't being called a "Terran" be better than
"Earthling"?); and instead of "the Moon", use "Luna".
Wondering why Atheists don't realize that they are being just as
fanatical as Theists. Theists are certain that there is
something/someone out there, while Atheists are certain that
there's nothing... Neither side can prove their stance - it's a
pointless argument.
Theory of Everything (TOE).
lol
Vampirism.
Superstrings, Chaos, Order, Good, Evil, and everything else 180
degrees from everything else.
Electromagnetism, Gravity, Weak and Strong Atomic Forces.
Evolution: Biological; Cosmic (stellar, planetary, galactic, etc.);
Social; Personal. Why is it so difficult for humans to understand
that we come from pond-scum? A good portion of us still behave that
way ;D
Oh, and why this country refuses to start heading towards what it
knows is soon to come: The METRIC SYSTEM. Yes, it is far more
accurate than the long-outdated "Imperial system" we use today.
On a typical Friday night I am
Movies, gaming, putting random electronics together (or taking them
apart), homework, etc. Yes, I do leave the house, but never for the
same thing twice in a row; therefore, I won't even bother with
that.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I fear the planet Jupiter. I really have no idea why... but the
thought of approaching that planet just terrifies me.
You should message me if
... you enjoy fine coffees or you're just plain interesting. Hmmm
"plain interesting". Seems like an oxymoron. Whatever.
You're interested in philosophy, the sciences, computers, etc.
