Hi. My name is Lindsey. I get lost in bookstores for hours. And I'm always on the lookout for more vinyls to add to my collection. I envy those who can knit and/or crochet because I wish I could, too. I'm a willing student... someone please teach me!

I'm a self-proclaimed nerd. I'm the comedian in my group of friends. I love to laugh and I love being funny. I love Eddie Izzard. If you don't know his work, you're missing out! Jim Gaffigan is a fabulous comedian...love him. And Mitch Hedberg and Mike Birbiglia! I have a thing for funny guys... what can I say? And I must get my nightly dose of Conan O'Brien before going to bed.

I'm really into music and movies. I have nearly 700 DVD's...okay?! My music tastes are SO varied. Some of my favorites are BareNaked Ladies, Green Day, Kelly Clarkson, Fiona Apple, Foo Fighters, The Killers, Tori Amos, Death Cab For Cutie, The Murmurs, Dixie Chicks, Heather Nova, Poe, Tegan & Sara, Metric, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Ray LaMontagne, Portishead...and MANY MORE! I'm artsy. I love to paint. I'm into ceramics too. I love to decorate. Plain walls are boring...I have to have things hanging on my walls. I like to write, too.

My favorite TV shows? (This is important!) Buffy The Vampire Slayer! If you love Buffy, I love you! Joss Whedon is God. If you know who he is, you get bonus points. Angel was a GREAT show. And Firefly. (Yes, I am one of the 12 people watching Dollhouse, haha.) And have you SEEN Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog?! BRILLIANT! Sex and the City is awesome. Friends too. Oh, and Six Feet Under, The L Word, Queer As Folk, Veronica Mars, Scrubs, The Office, Glee, America's Next Top Model, Bones, Dexter, Bad Girls, True Blood, The Big Bang Theory, and Dead Like Me. I am addicted to HBO and Showtimes series! And Robot Chicken! Venture Brothers! Any Adult Swim fans out there? And yes, I finally caved and became one of those Grey's Anatomy people... I had to catch up with everyone by buying the DVD's. Oh, and Carinvale... and Top Chef and Project Runway for good measure!

I graduated with my B.S. degree in May 2006... majored in Psychology. I earned my M.A. degree in Counseling in July 2008. Then, in August 2008, I moved from Indiana to Michigan to start my Ph.D. program in Counseling Psychology. I think... I might stop going to school someday... just not someday soon... ;-P

My main research interests include LGBT and gender issues. I hope to work in a university or college counseling center when I am done with school... one where being an out bisexual Feminist will be embraced, haha. ;-P

This has also been a year of soul searching and exploration... exploring my sexuality and also how I feel about religion. I pretty much consider myself an agnostic... I'm a very New-Age kind of person though, so I have a good number of books about Wicca that I have found intriguing. I'm not opposed to spirituality or others that have religion... it's just that... none of that 'fire and brimstone' crap makes any sense to me. I'm just not a fan of organized religion, I guess. I see it as more of a form of social control... keeping the people afraid so they'll walk the line.

Making my friends laugh! I'm funny! I'm a goofball! I'm a nerd...but a nerd that has great one-liners. Haha.

(Oh... and all night make-out sessions. Le Rar!) *wink*

My SMILE! Or my hair...maybe my eyes? Those three would be my favorite physical features... if they hear me laughing before they see me, though, they would definitely notice that. People have told me that I have a great laugh.

(a) Catcher In The Rye, the Harry Potter series, Buffy novels, Wuthering Heights, anything by Michael Moore or Al Franken, To Kill A Mockingbird, One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest, 1984 and Animal Farm, anything by David Sedaris, The Da Vinci Code, She's Come Undone, Bill Maher's New Rules, The Pleasure Of My Company, anything by Sarah Vowell, Lord of the Rings trilogy, the Abarat books by Clive Barker, the Bartimaeus Trilogy, Wicked, the Twilight Series, and any number of Psychology or Counseling related books

(b) I'm a movie buff, so I have like... 50 favorite movies! Shakespeare In Love ranks high. The Nightmare Before Christmas, Garden State, Ghost World, Donnie Darko, Empire Records, all the Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter movies, Moulin Rouge, Amelie, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Princess Bride, Lost In Translation, both Kill Bills, Sin City, Imagine Me & You, Better Than Chocolate, But I'm A Cheerleader, The Professional, Little Miss Sunshine... and see, I could go on forever like that!

(c) I mentioned some of the music I like above. I have over half of a 30GB i-Pod Photo full, so yeah, I'm a music lover. I like stuff from all genres and years. Very varied. I've been on a BIG Fiona Apple, Tegan & Sara, Portishead, and Metric kick lately.

(d) I enjoy Coke, Mountain Dew, Sweet Iced Tea, Bud Light, and 99 Bananas! I will never turn down a rum and Coke or Crown in Seven. Taco Bell rocks my world. So does Outback and Johnny Carrino's. I love breakfast too. I have mad breakfast making skills. How 'bout you come spend the night/wake up with me and I'll prove it... ;-P

(e) Games: World of Warcraft! For the Horde! I also own a Sega, XBOX, PS2, PS3, Gameboy SP, and a Wii... I spend a lot of time playing various versions of Guitar Hero and Mario Kart... I just got Beatles Rock Band! My friend has a Team Fortress 2 addiction and wants me to have one too, so we'll see! Portal is awesome.

Hanging out at home probably with my girl friends and my dog (I have a pug!)... watching DVD's, playing World of Warcraft, goofing around on the internet... I'm much more of a home person than a go out person, but I'll go out once in awhile... to see some art or hear some good live music.

I'm bisexual. I'm only "out" on a handful of sites and to those people in my life who I am closest to. I've spent the last year really exploring my sexuality and bisexuality/pansexuality/omnisexuality is the conclusion that I've come to. I hate having to label myself, though. I don't know why sexuality has to be about gay, straight, bisexual... I'm attracted to people, not their parts. Some of the people I'm attracted to are guys and some are women and I am okay with that.

You like Buffy, you're Democrat (or at least Liberal)...is that really TOO much to ask for? Lol. :-D
