Yes, I joined this site mostly for the quizzes, many of which I actually took before joining. I'm not actually seeing anyone, but am on this site mostly to meet new people and make new friends. I'm a virgin, have never been in a romantic relationship before, and I'm a nerd! I believe this makes me what is known as a basement-dweller! How exciting! However, since I'm not actually looking for romance in particular, hopefully these facts will not dissuade yon passerby from perusing my (admittedly boring and tl;dr) profile and leaving a message to potentially discuss non-amorous topics. Oh, and I'll upload a picture when I get around to it. Translation: I'm too lazy to upload one right now, and probably won't for an obscenely long time. Oh, and I usually go by "Jack."
I grew up Roman Catholic, and I still identify with it, although I haven't actually been to church in a long time, for a variety of reasons. However, I believe that all religions, all forms of human spirituality, essentially derive from the same basic, human need. If you're an atheist, that's cool too; I don't really care. Although I have never done so, I have no problems openly practicing with Muslims or Wiccans (at least if they would allow it), which I suppose makes me partially pantheist. I'm also partially a deist. As you can see, my religious beliefs are inconsistent, er, I mean, open-minded.
Oh, and if the whole "Catholic" thing freaks you out, I guess I should take this opportunity to say that I support gay rights. I identify as pro-life, but in no way do I support vaginal probes, redefining what rape means, preventing rape victims from having an abortion, or any of the awful things that Republicans would like to do.
I follow (American) politics and am quite liberal, although to be fair, the Republican Party right now doesn't exactly give me a choice. If Andrew Sullivan were mainstream, I might actually take republicans seriously. R00fles!
Well, now that I've got what are perhaps the two most controversial and divisive topics known to man, politics and religion out of the way, what more should I add? Probably something about my actual personality. I'd like to be described as eccentric and witty, but perhaps that's too egotistical. I don't know, I'm bad at talking about myself. If you want to know anything, feel free to ask.
As I mentioned, I'm kind of a huge nerd. I lurk on RPGCodex and 4chan, and I read both Encyclopedia Dramatica and Uncyclopedia. I love fantasy novels, and in my wildest dreams I would someday aspire to be one. Yes, that's right. I someday aspire to be. I'm a very ambitious person. I'm not that experienced with comic books, but Alan Moore and Brian K. Vaughan are clearly geniuses. I love video games, especially WRPGS and adventure games. I'm also a huge weeaboo.
