WALL OF TEXT AHEAD
A good friend described me as "weird, but interesting". I'd call myself pretty varied and open in skills and things I like, but I'll better leave that for others to judge. Either way I'm probably one of the biggest geeks/nerds you can find in quite some vicinity. Which doesn't mean that I have no social skills, to the contrary, but more about that topic later... ~
I value times of laziness and tranquility as I like being out with friends, visiting a party and just being active. I miss opportunities to take more strolls outside, but I find them boring on my own. So I'd be happy to actually do that with someone (you?).
Some people may think I am quite nerdy with my interest in things such as PC (Games), Anime and science in general. However, there's more to my person than just a collection of generally as "nerdy" perceived hobbies. (read about that further down) I don't only play games, I also love to analyse and discuss them. As I tend to do with most of the media I consume. I'm not one to passively consume media.
I also program a bit in my free time, aside from my job. Though I still want to increase the amount I'm doing that.
While I have nerdy interests, I also like cooking, good food, going out and just having a good time with my friends, as well. Watching a film in a cinema or reading.
I like reading, even though I don't get to spend as much time doing it as I would wish for, considering my other hobbies. Though I recently finished The Hobbit and just now started to read The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy.
Update: I now finished the first Harry Potter Book and started the second after finishing the first Hitchhikers Guide book. What can I say, I started reading more (yaaay \o/) But reduced my time of gaming and other stuff (awww .___. )
I like helping people, while at the same time holding distance from people who'd try to abuse my willingness to help.
I love laughing.
Aside from nearly everything involving science I'm a bit interested in a bit of philosophy and psychology too.
I like concerts and festivals. I like camping.
I like rain. And sun. If possible at the same time. :D
I like music, everything between rock, gothic, metal, a bit of electronics, chiptunes. But I'm always open for suggestions and other kinds of music.
Sports & (outdoor) activities in general:
While I'm not doing a lot of it right now, I still really like it. I was doing some Martial Arts Training (Balin Tawak, or Arnis if that tells you something), but I can't manage to fit it in with my job right now. Maybe I can pick it up at a later date again. I've collected enough motivation to finally start going to a gym now, let us see how that goes...
I also enjoy taking a walk outside, going out camping, visiting interesting locations... But I lack the motivation to do that alone. I would be happy to share these times with someone who'd come along. It'd be nice to find someone who'd try to do some hall climbing together with me. I'm relatively new to that, so if you want to go through a starter course, hit me up and I'll accompany you. :)
(if you're more experienced, I won't mind accompanying you either, I'm very willing to learn and listen)
Update: I visited a gym for the first time now and I had a lot of... "fun"? I guess. Anyway, I'm motivated and will continue to do that, because yay! Activity! \o/
I personally try to take distance from the term "feminist" since it's an incredibly loaded topic and the term has, depending on who you ask, slightly different meanings. HOWEVER!... Let me tell you that much: I SUPPORT equality across gender, sexual orientation and ethnic backgrounds.
I don't care about womens rights, I don't care about gay rights, I don't care about "black" rights.
I care about HUMAN rights and that includes _ALL_ of these cases. No matter your gender, sexual orientation or ethnicity.
And yes, I know the way it's going now is less than ideal. And no, I won't take it personally if you tell me about something that's wrong in this society.
I like far too many things, and there's always just so much time...
