My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Well, lets see...
All other attempts to write a short profile failed. Miserably.
So how about a round 3?

Well, first off I want to say that I am actually a rather picky person when it comes to people I wish to get in contact with or to associate with in any capacity. If I've spoken to you, its because something about you has caught my attention and I genuinely find you interesting in some way.

The next thing I'm going to put forward is this. I'm not here to get into people's pants. I'm just here looking for people with whom to hang out with, chat with, and make friends.
I'm Poly, which means my lifestyle of choice is Polyamory. And how I choose to go about that lifestyle is actually the pursuit of meaningful and genuinely enriching relationships (which don't actually have to be sexual. Huzzah!). If I find someone I click really well with and there is chemistry, we'll talk about perhaps going further, but that is isn't here and now.
I will value a persons ability to communicate above all else. If you enjoy talking, and can share whats on your mind, then you will have untold amounts of respect from me. Honesty is next, since it pretty much goes hand in hand with being able to communicate well.

What else do people really want to know about me? I'm married to Antares567. I'm a gamer geek which includes video games, board games, card games, table top RPG, and so on.
Introduce me to a new game, I'll be all over that.
When I have spare time, I have taken up Staff Spinning, which is like Fire Spinning/Dancing but without the fire. Why? I have a Double Saber (Light Saber staff). Yes, I am a dork.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I've been working hard at forwarding my career at Shaw. Currently I'm in the Technical Support role, and I am aiming at getting into Training or Supervisory/Management roles.

My most recent hobby that I have reconnected with is Archery. I learned to shoot when I was Five, and I kept at it until I was 16. Now, sixteen years later, I'm back at it again and enjoying it very much.

Otherwise of work I play Video Games, watch movies, meet people.
I also, as mentioned above, do Staff Spinning.
Whenever I get the chance, I will also be found playing tabletop games with friends, or just out and about rollerblading when the weather is good.

I know I should put self-development in here, because I do spend time doing that as well. As I am Polyamorous, it is important to keep developing who I am and overcoming my own internal hurdles as a person.

As for being here on OKC? Well, I'm here to meet people, hang out, and have fun.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm a good communicator and listener.
If people have issues they want to discuss, I am very good at handling them and talking about them. I'm also pretty good at talking about myself, what I'm thinking, and whats going on with me.
I'm also good at being honest. Lame, I know, but hey...if its something you do then its something you do. Besides, being dishonest makes me feel really guilty and I cannot tolerate feeling guilty about anything.

Computers. I've spent 12 years selling and repairing computers of all kinds before working at Shaw.
On that note, I'm also pretty good at fixing Cable, internet, and Shaw Phone issues.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm a big guy with no hair on his head.
My newly grown beard.
And I'm told I have a cute nose
People have told me I remind them of a bear, only less fuzzy.
Still, having said this, I would rather you all make your own decisions on what you first notice about me. We all look for different things after all.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Favorites are hard to pick out. I like a LOT of things. Especially food. >.>
Books? Well, that's tough...I've been enjoying George R.R. Martin's Song of Ice and Fire series and just finished his newest book. But is it a favorite? I don't know...I don't really categorize things like that.
I did also just pick up the last of the Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini. So far it's really good. I'd recommend it to anyone who likes Fantasy books.
The foods I like the most tend to be pasta dishes, such as Lasagna. I also enjoy a really good hamburger (I'm always on a quest to find a good one of these). Steak, nicely done at Medium Rare, and tender. This is also a winner. Having said this I will try almost anything once.
As for shows and movies...I liked the LotR trilogy, Star Wars episodes 4, 5, and 6, and I've always been a fan of Monty Python or Mel Brooks.
I'll add in the Anime category here:
Gundam (Any, even G Gundam)
Anything Macross (Except Macross 7)
Excel World
Gao Gai Gar
Gravion (And Zwei as well)
Aquarion
Tekkaman Blade and Blade 2
Detonator Orgun
Ranma 1/2
Blue Seed
Blue Sub 6
Bubblegum Crisis, Crash, and 2040
Iczelion/Iczer 1 (Iczer 1 is an ancient Anime)
Maps
Super Atragon
Akira
Vampire Hunter D
Helsing
And the list goes on.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
The Internet, sadly.
A good book.
Lego (I know I don't use my Lego much...but still...)
A crazy cat animal :P
A pen and paper.
And my computer.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I spend a lot of time thinking about the people in my life. Those who have come and gone, those who are still part of it, and what kind of people I'd like in it. I've also become a lot better at discussing these things with other people.

Sexuality and how it is portrayed in our society. Why the culture we have is not open at all and rather restricting. Also, why Sex Ed is so important in today's world despite it not being taught anywhere near enough, or with any amount of accuracy.
We're humans, we have sex. We should teach people what this means, how it works, and how to be responsible about it.
Adding to this, I think about Kink a lot. What kinks I have, what Kinks other people have. Its fun stuff, and a great conversation.

I also think a lot about feminism, and the fact that it's actually right. I could get into it at length here, but I swore to myself I would not make a TL;DR profile again.

And lastly, I spend more time also thinking about where I want to be in the next ten years. A lot has changed in my life this past year and this has become a priority.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Probably working. If I'm not working, I'm probably at home with my Partner. Either that I'm working out in the gym between gaming breaks or whatever else it might be that I am doing.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I just got a pair of Ultra Sabers, and the first time I powered them on in staff form there was an honest to goodness Nerd-gasm happening in my home. Curiously, not from myself.

I firmly believe that gender is a sliding scale. While I openly state I identify as a straight male, that may change for the right person.

I'll also willingly admit the following revelations. Private, eh...not too sure about that but I do keep them close to my heart especially in light of recent events.

I've recently been spending a great deal of time lately thinking about Perception and Impression, and how the two interact with one another in our heads. It's also pretty darned clear that Perception is everything. It's been a very interesting train of thought.

It's also struck me that Sex and Sexuality is just another form of communication between people, regardless of intimacy. I've always known that Sex itself is a way of strengthening bonds with someone you're close to or like being around as well...
I’m looking for
  • Everybody
  • Ages 22–35
  • Near me
