i'm easy going, witty, fun to be with and to do things with. i
'play well with others', am somewhat intelligent, love to tease and
be teased, and like to be silly sometimes. i'm always
compassionate, caring, a very good cook, imaginative, whimsical,
creative, spontaneous and accepting of most people just as they
are.
i'm also optimistic, somewhat naive, a born again virgin, aspiring southern belle, devil's advocate, and a bit of a klutz. i am too short (5'3), too 'hippy'(don't ask!), can't sing - although i do anyway, brave when i need to be, and am equal parts introvert and extrovert. i am the mother of two grown 'children', grandmother of two growing grandchildren, and ex-wife of one almost grown-up man.
i'm a 'literary slut', majored in theatre arts/english in college, am more liberal than conservative, a lover not a fighter, and probably too loquacious for my own good!

What I’m doing with my life
i retired last year and love having the time to do whatever i want.
not having a schedule is a luxury i haven't experienced before. i
recently moved from a large house to a small one and i'm enjoying
the 'nesting' process. allowing myself unlimited reading time
without guilt is a lovely pleasure. exploring small shops, local
restaurants, and historical sites is wonderful.
i'm an active, involved grandmother of two. i am currently exploring where i can help most by volunteering.

I’m really good at
listening, laughing, compromising, kissing, empathising, having
fun, making others laugh, expressing myself, drying tears, lending
a shoulder, giving a back-rub, accepting people for who they are,
being tolerant, playing fair, keeping secrets, being diplomatic,
getting along with just about everyone.

my eyes, my smile, sometimes my laugh/giggle.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
i really like too many books to have a favorite. i love most
movies, dramas and comedies, musicals are ok, westerns are great,
action movies so-so, like foreign films very much.
love classical music, jazz, old-time rock n roll, broadway musicals, some rhythm and blues, and i hate to admit this - but....i also like 'easy listening' music. (maybe that could be our little secret??)
my very favorite food in the whole world is mashed potatoes. i like almost all ethnic food, although chinese is my least favorite. i love french, italian, japanese, seafood, continental. i love cooking and took many gourmet cooking classes while i lived in california. i enjoy wine (mostly white) - trying new wines and finding the right wine to pair with something i'm cooking.
i enjoy desserts, rich coffee, and good scotch. dark chocolate will cure just about anything that ails me!

I spend a lot of time thinking about
thousands of things. i think of inventions. write poetry and
stories. remember good memories. heaven (who,what where, when, why,
and how??????),
the past, the present, and of course, the future.
i think about cooling down global warming; what to do if greatness is suddenly thrust upon me; how i can live richly and avoid regret; where i left my umbrella/glasses/keys/etc. etc. etc.; how can i avoid predictability....
i love to allow my mind to do 'free associative' thinking...in other words, i love just letting my mind wander (flit?) from one thing to another, wherever it wants to go.
