I am resourceful, sweet, and energetic.
My Self-Summary
Some loose facts:
31. clean. number one fan of curiosity and scheduled fun. I like
design and art and cooking and talking to my relatives on the
phone. Netflix is ok but I still dig going to the movie theater and
talk about it afterwards as if I'm super smart. I cook
enthusiastically only once a week, only once mostly because of lack
of a partner in crime in the kitchen. I make my own silly mixed
CDs, my friends are kind enough to tell me they love them and that
makes me love them even more. I am starting my master's this Fall
and excited and scared about it, specially when it comes to time
management. I like children but not for me right now. I like slow
guitar songs a lot, like "melt your heart" by jenny lewis, yes I'm
kinda sappy that way sometimes but I mean well. I was brought up
with the idea that one should share with the less fortunate. I like
English and I really like it when a guy knows how to write it well.
No, I'm not "straight acting" because I don't like to act. I'm not
good at lying. I've had the luxury of meeting a few great guys
through here...with some it worked well and with some I fell flat
in my face. So if anyone ever tells you that online dating is
bullshit, it's a lie, it does work if you treat this as a place to
meet people and not a customized boyfriend-making site. Oh, I like
to ramble.
Some loose facts I admire in other men:
Ingenuity. Decisiveness. Clean. Able to see past the overrated
stuff in life. Donate time/money to charity or organizations that
support others. Taller than me helps a lot. Kind to others. Like
your body, age. Impromptu fun-maker because god knows I'm super
by-the-schedule-kinda guy and that balance would be nice. Have
faith in something above humans, in someone bigger than life. If
you like to cook then even better, if you don't, just be a willing
cute kitchen helper. Yes, I'll be sappy and say that I do like a
guy who can pull a romantic move every now and then. I cannot read
minds and it's nice to be made felt special by someone else. Every
now and then.
What I’m doing with my life
Working. Studying. A lot. I like that in others... a lot. Have
something to do with your time :-)
I’m really good at
pushing myself, but not in a maniac way, I believe I am good at
looking at the big picture for the most part...Cooking, making
others laugh - especially myself haha-, listening, managing my
money, and I am pretty good at not letting myself be bored.
The first things people usually notice about me
I haven't asked people this question, but I'll get back to you.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Any Gabriel Garcia Marques, specially "Of Love and Other Demons,"
"Love in the Times of Cholera," and any of his short stories.
I also like: The Little Prince, The Alchemist, Silence of The
Lambs, Isabel Allende's novels, David Sedaris, Augusteen Burroughs,
Anais Nin, biographies of people like Diane Arbus, Frida, Remedios
Varo, Hitchcock, Francois Truffaut.
The six things I could never do without
-iPod
-Cell phone/Calendar
-Deodorant
-Fresh underwear
-White rice
-Books
I spend a lot of time thinking about
what ifs, the past, the future, and why my neighbors are so fucking
noisy.
On a typical Friday night I am
out with friends on dinner, beers, or sometimes at home doing
homework or work or a collage. i like bars more than clubs, but
even then, it's all about the company.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
way too public of a forum to admit anything that I consider private
haha... that is more suitable for a face-to-face disclosure, right?
You should message me if
-you think that making each other laugh is more important than
anything
-if you think that respect does not equate boredom or royal
treatment-its just that... respect
-if you like learning new things
