Romance and love are not the same, and hate is not the opposite of love. Indifference is the opposite of love. Love, moreover, is the ultimate wish for the happiness of another, while romance is the wish for one’s own happiness through qualities of another.
I am after both love and romance, in symbiosis, and would certainly rather be hated than ignored.
This alternative time in my life has occasionally led me to pursue sexual encounters with No Strings Attached, though I change my guitars’ strings quite often. I do, however, have a tendency to fall in love against better judgment.
I’m after neither love nor NSA, though welcome both with their surprising and unexpected fashion (Murphy lives well, still).. . . . I’ll have neither and both. . . ..
