My self-summary
If I was any more down to earth I'd be spelunking in a cave in the Grand Canyon - seriously. It takes a lot to rattle me out of my calm, collected and reasonable state. On top of that I'm an unyielding optimist who can find the bright side in any situation, or the means to create new situations with brighter futures ahead. I'm like Malibu rum...seriously easy going!
What I’m doing with my life
Working in the renewable energy field in engineering and I can honestly say I enjoy what I do and have great aspirations for the future.

Outside of work I like to keep active, hitting the gym, playing basketball, softball, volleyball and rock climbing.

In the summer I enjoy camping - both relaxed provincial park style and hardcore wilderness adventure style.

In winter I try to hit the slopes for some snowboarding as much as possible but will just as soon settle for some local ice skating.

All year round chances are very good that you'll find me:
- Discovering a new (nerdy) board game or enjoying the classics with friends/family.
- Checking out some great or little-known (but potentially great) bands at smaller venues around the city.
- Letting loose obscenities proportional to my discontent at the Jays/Leafs/Raps/TFC/Argos/Rock/Marlies game or slightly more subdued enjoying a pint or twelve at a pub.
I’m really good at
Scrabble, Math, keeping my fridge stocked with drinks for visitors.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
This is tough and on any given day it will change but here goes:

Books: Dracula, Old Man and the Sea, The Three Muskateers, The Professional, Watership Down

Movies: Shawshank Redemption, The Prestige, Happy Gilmore, Invictus.

Shows: Game of Thrones, Archer, Breaking Bad, Bob's Burgers, HIMYM, Seinfeld

Music: Muse, Mother Mother, USS, Radiohead, Chromeo, MSTRKRFT, Modest Mouse, System of a Down

Food: Lasagne! Like Garfield, I too have a sore spot for Mondays.
The six things I could never do without
Assuming 'things' doesn't include people, I'd say board games, playing cards, snow, the beach, that's-what-she-said-set-ups and guacamole.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How THERE are so many people who are unaware of homonyms and THEIR proper usage. THEY'RE beginning to make me question the efficacy of our education system. If YOU'RE not sure what a homonym is then perhaps you should use YOUR dictionary. TO clear this up should take about TWO minutes. That's including the time it takes to make yourself a cup of tea while you're at it, and a biscuit TOO.
On a typical Friday night I am
Hopefully not filling out on-line dating questionnaires.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
My Scrabble iPhone app may very well be my best friend.
