My self-summary
I'm single, divorced, a father of 4. I like cool girls, smart people, and exploring places people ideas experiences. I take care of myself physically, emotionally, spiritually. I'm looking for new friends, adult companionship.
What I’m doing with my life
My vocation, until the kids are older, is fatherhood, and it takes a lot of my time and attention. To support my fatherhood habit, I work for a software startup; I work hard and have fun doing it. Those are the two "big rocks" that go into the jar of my life first. When I'm not being a father or working, I'm doing something that elevates me - usually moving around, discovering, or fixing stuff.

Because I plan to be around for my kids, I like to keep in shape and I love being outside, so I run or bike or something, rain or shine, winter or summer. I love outdoor activity in any kind of weather.

I bought a dirtbike last year and enjoyed it so much i bought another motorcycle, a street bike, in April. It's quite a kick. The wind, the noise, the acceleration, the demand for focus and attention - it's all very stimulating. I also love natural highs: ski, bike, run, hike, climb.

I love the PNW. We're so fortunate - it's not like this everywhere.
I’m really good at
Fixing things.
Finding enjoyment in every step. Or at least wry amusement.
Thinking long term.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I love to read. I like classic novels. Melville, Fitzgerald, London, Faulkner, Vonnegut, and Hemingway. Tolstoy, Dostoyevsky.
Almost anything by Martin Amis. Obscurely, i like e.e.cummings. I also like non-fiction; I read biographies.

I love movies. Anything with explosions and car chases is usually on my shortlist. Anything by the Coen Brothers.
I like documentaries too.

Not much of a fan of glitzy Broadway shows, but I do enjoy live theater in small settings. So close to the actors...

I don't watch much TV....except for auto racing.
The six things I could never do without
Dark chocolate, woolie boolie socks, running shoes, kalamata olives, a good book.... And one more thing ...
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Angelina Jolie's lips.

But seriously, I spend time "listening", rather than thinking. Or maybe a better word is intuiting. Just being and feeling and staying in tune with what's happening. Listening to people and trying to be there for them if I'm able. Listening to the world. Ok this is sounding corny but it's an honest try at an answer! I guess you could say I try to pay attention to what's important.
On a typical Friday night I am
Hanging out with one of my favorite people.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have a serious sock habit.
