I am currently in my first year of my Master's degree at
Florida
State University.
My hometown lies in good olde Pottstown, PA (about an hour
northwest of Philly). It is a charming little town (and by charming
I mean rather boring at times), but it is a nice place to relax
when you have some free time and I still call it home. I guess the
best parts about my hometown are that my family is there as well as
the fact that I can get to Philly and NYC in a decent amount of
time.
I am a twenty-three year old college student currently pursuing a
degree in
Piano Performance. It's a
crazy degree that most people think is easy, let me tell you, it is
not. If your first response to my degree was "oh, so he sits around
and plays piano all day" maybe I'm not the right guy for you...
I've been playing piano since I was five years old. You could say
that piano is a big part of my life for reasons like, 1) I usually
spend three to six hours a day
practicing, or 2) I will be one of
the few, poor college students you know who has an upright piano in
his apartment. I originally started my degree at
Ithaca College under the
tutelage of
Dr. Read Gainsford, but one
day Read decided that he wanted to leave and accepted a job at
FSU. Hence why I am
now living in
Tallahassee!
I guess I could say that I'm pretty happy with how my life is
working out so far. I have a great group of friends, lots to do,
and I'm starting to enjoy the city of Tallahassee more and more
each day. I like
video games but struggle to find the
time to play them between classes and practicing. I love to
read books and
I
read usually every
night (for pleasure). I enjoy most types of
music, save country and most rap music. (I
guess this is the laundry-list time filled with lots of things I
like to do). I enjoy sitting in my apartment,
having a
nice group of friends over,
cooking a nice dinner, and
just enjoying each others company. I feel that we are all so busy
in this world and the time we have is so precious, so why waste
that time on people you are not really that interested in talking
to? For me, time is very precious, so I savor each moment I get to
spend with friends and family. I believe that relationships are
more important than mostly anything else. Without your friends and
family to support you what is there left (this coming from a
musician who will most definitely need support from his friends and
family as he tries to earn a living in the early years of his
life)..
So, if all this babble didn't make you hit the back button, then
feel free to send me a message and we can chat some more.
