My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Disclaimer: The following is hopelessly out of date. Since actively writing and maintaining this, I have gone through a career transition that has kinda turned my life upside-down ( in a good way ) and I'm just now starting to get back in a routine that doesn't involve flying, train-ing, boating, not-knowing-what-country-much-less-what-timezone-i'm-in, or otherwise.

At any rate, now that I've been away from this, and I am reading it, I realize how negative it sounds. So, ignore everything that follows and I'll get around to updating it sooner or later. Probably later.

End Disclaimer.

Let's see... Well, to start, if you're wondering about my username, I picked it because it's usually the second thing I say to most people I meet. The first thing I say is "Hi, I'm Stacy." Hope that clears that up for you.

I like camping, hiking, pool, poker, going to movies, bars, and occasionally clubs.

I'm pretty laid back and easy to get along with, but I don't tolerate fake people, or anyone whose purpose in life is to climb some mythical social ladder. Life is too short, and I have better things to do.

I work in IT, but generally don't like hanging out with other IT people. It's not that I don't love video games, Battlestar Galactica, Star Trek/Wars, etc but I've had as many conversations about these things as I ever want to.

Hmm... that's all I can think of right now. I'll come back later once I think of some better BS to put up here.

I am bacon, therefore, delicious, and awesome
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Trying to spend some part of every day becoming more than I am now.
Living alone, which can be boring, but beautifully drama-free.
Working out, trying to stay in shape.
Enjoying good beer, good vodka, good friends, and good times.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Attracting people that are a few cards short of a full deck.
Voiding warranties.
Figuring out anything 'tech' related.
Pushing myself. Reinventing myself.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have no idea. My friendly scowl? I've been told my more than one person that I have a 'radio' voice, but I doubt that's the first thing anyone notices.
I have a large head, so maybe that( yes, it's like Sputnik ).
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books: Dan Simmons' Hyperion books. I used to read books a lot more, but these days I spend that time reading news sites and blogs.
Movies: Super Troopers, The 5th Element, The Hangover, District 9, Anchorman, Dazed and Confused, Gattaca, Python stuff, Shaun of the Dead, Kick-Ass, Superbad.
Music: Queens of the Stone Age, Tool, NIN, Pink Floyd, Dave Matthews Band, Chili Peppers, Alice in Chains, Primus, Chevelle are the mainstays.
These days I'm usually listening to music either in the car or at the gym. So, I wind up listening to anything with a good beat that's motivating. Hail the Villain, Karnivool, Middle Class Rut are some of my newer favs. I can also enjoy some Hip-hop/dance/pop for short periods as long as it's got a beat.
I am officially burnt-out on the hairy, newer-new-wave 80's rehash stuff ( Everything on Alt Nation ).
And I hate country.
Food: Mexican! Or anything that combines steak and blue cheese. Put steak and blue cheese on a tortilla and I may eat myself sick.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.

Hanging out with friends, having dinner and drinks somewhere around town.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
If I log in and see another Herman Cain ad I'll suspend my account. (Or just turn on Ad-block)((or burn the building down)).
