Currently reading (I know I will forget to update this later): A
Feast for Crows and A Dance with Dragons. Yes I'm double-fisting
them as they run parallel to each other for the most part.
I don't normally read nonfiction but historical
linguistics/etymology fascinates me. It's my first Bryson book and
I'm excited about it. I'm rather enjoying his writing style
(although I found a few tiny errors, but I'll let them slide :P Now
I sound like a snob...)
Books: Etymologicon, The Millennium Trilogy and other Scandinavian
thrillers, The Secret Garden and A Little Princess (because I
refuse to grow up), The Giver (and other young adult dystopia lit),
Uncle Tom's Cabin, The Miracle at St. Anna, all Michael Crichton
and Stephen King, Le Petit Prince, tout ce qu'il y a de Baudelaire,
Victor Hugo, Molière, Rimbault (!!)
Movies: An Imitation of Life, To Sir With Love, L'Auberge Espagnol,
L'Arnacœur, Two Days in Paris, Midnight in Paris, La Cage Aux
Folles, Le Dîner des Cons, La Chèvre, les Intouchables, Sherlock
Holmes, Mildred Pierce, What Ever Happened To Baby Jane?
Shows: Modern Family, Always Sunny, Downton Abbey, I netflix Dr.
Who and the new Sherlock Holmes (Benedict Cumberbatch) and kind of
have unhealthy crushes on them both.
Music: Lord..... Everything? Favorite style would have to be
neotango I suppose. Ambiance music is always nice. I like hip hop
in the original sense of the word (not to be confused with ghetto
mess hip pop). Love bachata (and to dance to it!) and all other
latin styles. Soulful blues/jazz is always appreciated. I was
raised right and on classical music so I LOVE listening to
classical and jazz to unwind. I have also even been known to
tolerate country (rarely, but it happens).
