My self-summary
I am a rather rad young man who likes a lot of things. Here are a series of statements about me:

I will probably say something unintentionally awkward in a remarkably short period of time. My sense of humor and general outlook on life are both heavily influenced by a steady diet of Mystery Science Theater episodes watched during my formative years, and I don't feel like that is a bad thing. I think e-readers take away some of the magic of reading. I don't capitalize my I's in casual correspondence unless they're at the start of a sentence. If I had more money and space I would start a vinyl collection, not because I necessarily think vinyl sounds better (which I do a bit if I'm being honest) but because I think it would just be a fun thing to do. I have a hard time figuring out what to write because I don't want you to think I'm trying to impress you, though I suppose I kind of am.

I have no idea what I want to do with my life and I think that's okay. But I would like to get that figured out pretty soon.
What I’m doing with my life
I am currently working with developmentally disabled adults at a vocational center here in town. It is as exciting, rewarding, blahblahblah as you're likely thinking. It is also exactly as frustrating as you're likely imagining.
I’m really good at
Things that are not filling out surveys about myself in which I feel super pressured to impress people. I'm really bad at that thing.
The first things people usually notice about me
That is an excellent question! I would like to know this too, survey question I am apparently now speaking with.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I like all of these things. A lot, actually. Picking a favorite is not an easy task, and I generally like most anything regardless of genre or type so long as it's good! That being said these are some things I consistently like: books and movies that allow my id to vicariously act out or indulge the neurotic parts of my brain. TV shows that are aggressively weird (30 Rock, Parks & Rec, Community, Arrested Development, etc). Playing video games with my friends. Indie music that I still wouldn't have been super cool knowing about even a decade ago (Pavement, Archers of Loaf, Silver Jews, Fugazi, and so forth). Also, other kinds of music. I kind of really like music (lately I've been spending quite a bit of time listening to bands/artists with female vocalists like Laura Stevenson, Janelle Monae, and Lemuria). Also, burgers and tacos. I like those a whole bunch.

The six things I could never do without
Food, water, sleep, oxygen, and two other equally clever and cheeky responses. Let's say cute baby animal youtube videos and count it as both of the remaining things.
On a typical Friday night I am
An equal chance of many different things.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I wish I had super powers, but i'm not sure which. Sometimes I think about this.

I would keep watching New Girl even if it was not a legitimately good show simply because I think Nick Miller and I would be best friends. That's probably weird.

Spending an evening at a bar while having drinks and reading books appeals to you just as much as doing something more adventurous. You like the things I've said on my profile. You feel like it. I don't know, I'm not your boss. Do what you want.
