I am, admittedly, a bit of an introvert, though I'm really outgoing around people I've known a while. If left alone I can be kind of a home body; writing, gaming, reading, chatting, conducting horrifying science experiments in my kitchen (some people call it cooking, I'm still on the fence). However, there is always adventure bubbling just below the surface.
I love being out in nature, especially when I can drag as many people along as possible. If an opportunity comes up to go camping, hiking, swimming or the like it's a safe bet I'm already packing to go. I'm pretty open when it comes to entertainment, and it's really easy to get me excited to do something. Suggest something fun and odds are good that I'm on board.
I work in school kitchens. It's not glamorous or anything, but it beats the hell out of nothing.
I just started learning to play the guitar. I still have zero idea what I'm doing, but it's a lot of fun!
The end game will hopefully be writing fantasy novels professionally.
Is it a cat? ... No? Oh well, I'm sure somebody reading this will be horribly impressed.
Speaking entirely in movie quotes. Devastatingly useful, I know.
Oh and asking bizarre hypothetical questions, can't forget that.
That I'm really tall.
My sense of humor.
I can't help you beyond that, for I am not People. You're People though, why don't you tell me?
The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher (And no, I super hated the TV show.)
Codex Alera Also by Butcher
A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin
The Night Angel trilogy by Brent Weeks
The Rai-kirah Saga by Carol Berg
The Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind
The Incarnations of Immortality series by Piers Anthony
Lets play What am I reading right now?: Brimstone Angels by Erin M. Evans.
My current favorite movies:
Serenity, Indiana Jones (All of them.), Back to the Future, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Ghostbusters, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Hot Fuzz, Worlds End, Shaun of the Dead, Bruce Almighty, Scott Pilgrim Versus the World, Terminator 2, The Dark Knight, Doctor Horrible's Sing Along Blog, Let Me In, Tangled, The Crow. Mostly anything involving zombies. I also have a fascination with stop motion films and the enormous amount of effort that goes into them. Honestly, this list would probably change every time you ask me what my favorites are.
Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, Arrow, Adventure Time, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,Orange Is The New Black, Castle, Breaking Bad, Psych, Supernatural, Chuck, How I Met Your Mother, Twin Peaks, Firefly, Buffy The Vampire Slayer (I pretty much like anything Joss Whedon or Nathan Fillion are involved in.)
I'm also a big anime fan, but I wanted to keep the list separate from normal TV. Some of the best series I've seen off the top of my head: Cowboy Beebop, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, Busou Renkin, Toradora!, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Gurren Laggan.
I like lots of different genres, from classic piano, to power metal, to opera and j-rock. I'll just list a couple bands in no particular order or rank. Running The Risk, Queen, Shinedown, Halestorm, Saving Abel, Cake, Three Days Grace, Yoko Kanno, Disturbed, Blind Guardian, Bon Jovi, Foo Fighters, Tenacious D, Lonely Island, Yoshida Brothers, Anamanaguchi, The Black Mages.
I think the best song in existence is Into Free - Dangan by B'z. Quadruple radical-awesome bonus points if you know where it's from.
Food, food... Hrm, what don't I like, that would be a much simpler question to answer. I hate onions, peppers and mushrooms. It's the texture, not the taste.*hurk*
I'll list a few video games for funzies:
Witcher 3, Persona 4, Fire Emblem: Awakening, Super Smash Brothers 3DS, Tomb Raider, The Walking Dead, Mark of the Ninja, Guild Wars 2, Red Dead Redemption, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Disgaea, Guitar Hero, Golden Sun, Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia, Batman Arkham Asylum / City, Skyrim, Far Cry 3, Pokemon. Plus a whole slew of others, but these games outline my tastes fairly accurately.
1 - Friends
2 - Adventure
3 - Books
4 - Computer
5 - Imagination
6 - Cheese. What? It's good on everything.
I have a habit of thinking about things I can't possibly do anything about. Such as mortality. Or the fact that the earth is speeding around in an absurdly dangerous bubble filled with fireballs and rocks hurtling at trans-light speeds... Which I guess is also related to mortality. A pattern emerges! But yeah, space is scary, yo.
Other than that mostly just relaxing after a week of work, maybe catching up on my TV backlog.
Yeah, you're not buying this at all, are you?
I suppose I should say that I have fairly bad social anxiety. I can be pretty quiet around new people as I'm never quite sure how I should be acting until I've gotten to know you a bit. This is especially true for phones. I usually try to avoid phone calls whenever I can, so if that's the only way you like to communicate that could cause problems (at least at first). Not the most attractive information, I know! But honesty is the best policy.
I've also been known to enjoy a terrible pop song or two.
You have any questions, or just feel like chatting.
You are looking for somebody to have incredibly philosophical conversations with.
If you're a Browncoat.
If you want to give me guitar lessons~ Come on... I'll be your best friend!
Or, if you went for the cat thing, you want to talk about my amazing psychic powers.
You read my whole profile. Kudos!
But really, if you vote me up on quickmatch or something and hope I notice you... I probably wont. I'm kinda-sorta god awful at being the aggressor. It happens, but you'll have better luck if you just say hi to me. I promise not to bite.
