My Self-Summary
I enjoy a good story, and in many a form. I read voraciously, fight writer's block and occasionally spit something out, play a wide variety of role playing games (tabletop, video games, larp).
I hail from Texas and I'm happy that I grew up there. So don't give me "I hate Texas because it's cool to do that now" else you shall receive a punchin'. In fact, just about any "I ~ because it's cool to do" will end in distaste... I'd rather be friends with someone who has formed their own opinions, regardless of whether I quite agree.
I've got a lot going on in my life and I have to be straight with you, I'm not really sure what I'm looking for right now. But, I know that I like chatting and talking and general befriending of like minded interesting folk. So, hey, let's talk :)
What I’m doing with my life
My career is pretty important to me; I work hard and I like my job (startling, I know!). So I spend a lot of time on that.
I'm also actively increasing my wine and scotch knowledge. I'm pretty good with wine and a fair beginner at scotch (other whiskeys are tasty, but scotch is my love).
I also enjoy devouring the tasty ears of Eviltwinpixi and sinici's puppy Charlie. (Photographic evidence available.)
I’m really good at
I've recently become a pretty good cook. Which is good, because I love Really Good Food and if I couldn't cook I'd probably end up blowing all my money on eating out. :)
Numerous times, I've proven that that my skills of clearing out established townships and replacing the local governments with my own is far superior to most others. In terms of dating...that means I am adept at planning and following through with commitments, even those of mass destruction, and am determined to have a great time. I know what I want and I will get it. On a related note, I look great in a crown!
And really, you haven't lived until you've crushed a town's spirit with a horde of ruthless monsters! ;)

The first things people usually notice about me
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I really loved Pan's Labyrinth and the Hellboy movies, I really enjoy Guillermo del Toro's style. Big Fish is a favorite as well, and anything with Johnny Depp, for obvious reasons. And I never get tired of the Count of Monte Cristo. Man, I should read the book.
Cat Empire! It's an Australian band no one in the States has heard of. And QnP.
I love Indian food, good Italian, Ethiopian etc etc. Especially when the Italian has a well paired wine... mmm... Italian wine...
The six things I could never do without
1) My games. They're such fun, a great way to unwind, relax, spend some time outdoors and make a lot of great friends.
2) My cat Jerry. He'd destroy me and probably several dozen innocents if I ever tried to abandon him.
3) Sleep. There is nothing nicer, some mornings.
4) My friends. It's cliche, I know, but I'm such an overwhelmingly social person. I can't stand to be by myself for more than a few days straight. I just... need people. Preferably ones I like.
5) My independence. On the flip side, I really do need my space for self reflection, introspection, all that stuff. If I'm not feeling social, I'll just tell you. I won't dissemble, no worries, I'll just say I'm not feeling up to being around people. I guess at heart I'm an introvert- I love people, but my "recharge time" comes from being alone.
6) Sunshine. Moving here from Texas was a blow. I remember laying on the grass just feeling the sun pound into me. I miss it often.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Oh, and boys. ;)
On a typical Friday night I am
I used to like going to bars, but honestly, I'm too snobby for it these days. I'd rather have one fancy cocktail and a tiny appetizer plate than like four giant crappy margaritas made with crappy tequila and too much fake fruit. Yay booze snob :)
Also, I HATE WINTER. Cold is boo! Less ability to run amuck in the outdoors. :(
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
So, no juicy secrets, sorry. I just don't have any. :)
You should message me if
Or if we have anything in common. Chatting is fun.
You think you can help me expand my reign! I mean, if subjugating -one- township is fun...
Or maybe you just want to come play some Rock Band.
