My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am French and I have been living in Barcelona for 14 years.
Introvert, shameless, passionate, guarded, thoughtful, silly, I am and I like a lot of conflicting things, and it's the tension between those things that I find interesting.
I am in a relationship that's very happy and also open, i.e. we don't want to be strictly monogamous sexually or emotionally. It's all about recognizing that you cannot be all things all the time to your partner and vice versa. Freedom, respect, honesty... Very hippie, I know! Very delicate to handle too, but so worth it.

After answering some questions on guns, my personnality tab now says that I am aggressive... Sigh. When I was younger I competed in 22-long rifle shooting, I loved it and there was nothing violent about it. I eventually left my club because there were too many right-wing nuts, but not all clubs are like that.

I also answered that I would like to try hunting. Well we eat animals, why not kill them in person instead of letting the food industry torture them in small cages, feed them crap and antibiotics and present them to us in nice little packages. We are so far removed from reality sometimes.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I graduated from a business school, but this line of work really wasn't for me. I have been a freelance translator for 10 years, and absolutely loving it.

I like to meet new people and let myself be influenced by what I like in them. And I like to learn, to absorb concepts. I can never remember dates and names but I like to add fuzzy pieces of knowledge to the big messy canvas that makes up my vision of the world.

I live near the beach, but I rarely go in the summer. I am not the outdoorsy type, although I really enjoy hiking once in a while. I also enjoy yoga (the kind that makes you sweat).
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
My job. I love it so much. I get to explore a ton of different subjects. I refuse to specialize, it would get boring.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I am a bloody nice person, polite and sensible. Yes.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: historic novels, short stories, essays, Boris Vian, Saramago, Murakami, Monzó, Ursula K. Le Guin.

Movies: science fiction, big showy special effects, fantasy, and practically anything else, interested in Asian cinema but no clue about it. I adore Jacques Audiard's movies even though he's a pretentious prick, and I like Haneke's movies because he's a pretentious prick.

Shows: Louie, Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, Sherlock, QI, Dr Horrible's Sing-along blog, and others, when I have time.

Music: a lot of classical, lyrical, baroque, string quartets, madrigals, what have you. I love love love that.
Nina Simone and Ella Fitzgerald, very different but complementary in my mind.
Anouar Brahem
Ali Farka Touré
Electronic music

Food: e-ve-ry-thing.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Internet, fruit, wiggle room, 8 hours sleep, nail polish on my toes, personal space.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How government would be so much better in so many ways if politicians were just appointed at random. Sortition, anyone???

How producers have a knack for fucking up movies.

In a war or any similar hairy situation, would I rise to the occasion, or choose safety and submit ?
