I am Honest, Caring, and Thoughtful.
My Self-Summary
The capacity of loving others very much depends on the capacity of
loving oneself (Thich Nhat Hahn)
I've had a profile before on OKC, but it stays hard to write a
sensible and high quality profile. I really want to provide some
good in depth information about myself, but doing so proves harder
than it seems. Anyway, I will try to give a brief introduction to
me.
I have got pretty high standards for myself and others. I try to be
kind to everyone and to be honest all the time. I expect others to
at least be honest, and kind to a certain extent. I just think it
can't be hard to at least be a bit considerate for other people,
and that being honest is just an obvious way of showing respect to
the person you're dealing with.
This comes forth of my outlook on life, I am a
spiritual person and I try to
live life as concious as I can. I even try to do good, which
apparantly is a source of laughter for many people these days. Why
would you waste your time on helping out a junkie, or talking to a
person who's crazy? Because they're people too, and I *DO* care. If
I put a smile on someone's face even for a second, I know I've
shown them that there's still kindness left in the world. I think
that's very important, because society only seems to get colder
every day.
I am not a cold person. And when I meet someone I always try to see
the good in them, even if it means I might get hurt sometimes.
Thats not naivety, that's a choice I made. Many people choose to
hate others or despise the world but don't try to change it, and I
think that's useless. You cannot expect other people to change the
world for you, you are the only one that can change your
world.
I am a
Wiccan and
live by the creed ''and you harm none, do as you will''. I try to
put that in to practice every day. It means I try to live without
hurting others, including animals and the environment. It also
means I might be selfish sometimes, because ''harming none'' does
also include myself. I will not sacrifice myself to save you, but I
also won't do anything to hurt you, and if I can, I will help you.
I eat little meat and try to waste as little as possible to save
the environment.
I read a lot and have a broad range of interests, my favorite
subjects are:
spirituality,
religion,
witchcraft,
occultism,
paranormal,
Psychology,
history,
reiki,
paganism,
phylosophy,
Human Behaviour,
Politics,
Para-Psychology,
Quantum
Physics and other stuff you're probably not interested in
anyway. These interests are also represented in my daily life.
What I’m doing with my life
I am working on my thesis to become a
Reiki master. I want to help people and
make them see that they can change their life for the better, as I
have changed mine.
Reiki is an alternative therapy that works with rei (universal) ki
(energy). It's the force that build the world, anything that exists
has it's own energy pattern and with Reiki we stimulate our own
inner healing power. Reiki helped me to regain an inner balance and
still helps me whenever I am stressed or in pain. It soothes and
calms, and I want to share that with other people. It's the
greatest gift I ever received.
I’m really good at
*Helping others, even strangers come to me to talk about their
problems when I am on holiday
*
Cooking, it's
something I really like to do. It makes me happy, and the people
around me too (usually ;) )
*Daydreaming and debating about topics like spirituality and
politics. I like to discuss opposing views and meet new people.
The first things people usually notice about me
*My clothing, which is always something standing out from the
crowd. Whatever I fancy that is, from hippie to goth.
*My hands, they are always warm because of the Reiki.

The six things I could never do without
1. Love, because there is no greater pleasure.
2. Books and Internet, I have an unending thirst for knowledge, and
these two provide me with it.
3.Spirituality, because I based my life on it. It makes me who I
am.
4.Good food, and good sex. Things to enjoy. The pleasures of
life.
5.Friends, because I need people to share my ideas with and talk
to
6.Nature, because it provides me with energy and rest and it's
beautiful
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Lots of things, in fact, my mind is never quiet. My train of
thoughts never stops, there's always a new question or thought that
needs attention. Most of the time I try to understand life and the
world around me, but it always gives me more questions than
answers.
On a typical Friday night I am
There is no *typical* night.
*But you can find me dancing in
cyberia once a month,
*Sometimes on a hot summer day on a blanket in the
vondelpark Amsterdam listening
to music and smoking pot in good company, or shopping for weird
stuff at the
waterlooplein
*Or you might see me at a
drawing or
sketching course
*Or you might meet me at a
pagan festival dancing in the
drumcircle worshipping
the gods
*Or I might be at home, cuddling with my boyfriend and cooking a
nice dinner for two
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
*There's something about foreign accents that turns me on
*I see a few double digits on the clock a day, weird isn't it?
You should message me if
*You don't have a higher than 20% enemy rate
*You got something to say, and you can write it properly, too
*You're not interested in long term dating, I've got a boyfriend
