Who am I? Well, I'm many things, but I suppose first and foremost I'd consider myself a geek. Reading, writing and video games are my three greatest passions (especially video games), although I frequently indulge in movies and anime as well. (And evidently, I also have a minor addiction to answering match questions and doing OKCupid Tests...)

I confess to being quite an introvert. I can be quite shy among strangers, although I really open up around people I'm close to. (I tend to swing between an ISTJ and an INFJ, for those who are interested in that kind of stuff.) I'm also a real homebody; my ideal Friday nights and weekends typically involve staying at home immersed in games or other hobbies with somebody I love.

I believe in honesty and candor, and of not forging, or believing, any illusions about myself. Be proud of who you are. Tolerance is my watchword. Accept others for they are, and be ever open to new ideas and new things, whether it be food, knowledge, or tricks in the bedroom. *wink*

I adhere to a fairly ordered lifestyle. I like rules, systems, hierarchies. I love the exhilaration of a well-executed plan, whether that plan is a choreographed dance, an epic work of fiction, or a sensual scene played to utter fulfilment. I dislike wastage, unruliness and those who do not show proper respect for others and their opinions in life.

I am loyal and fiercely devoted to those I care about. If you're my friend, I will never speak ill of you, or betray you. If you're my significant other, I will never, ever cheat on you, and I will do my utmost to help you with whatever problems you might have. My word is my bond; if I promise you that I'll do something, I'll get it done. (If I had doubts, I wouldn't have promised you in the first place.) Sadly, I've been taken advantage of in the past due to my nature, so I'm more wary about whom I give my trust to these days, but once it is given, you will not find a more steadfast and loyal friend and companion in me.

I don't always know where I am going, but I know what I want. I believe in plans and reaching for your dreams, but I also believe in not forgetting to enjoy the journey itself. Life is all about finding your own path. I'm walking mine now. Care to join me?

I am creative, affectionate, and kinky

To be honest, I'm kind of just cruising at the moment, seeing what new things each day brings. I work in the IT industry as a technical writer, but ultimately I hope to enter the video game industry as either a writer or a designer. (At times I also toy with the idea of becoming a full-time novelist.)

At the same time, I also want to ensure that I have a life full of good memories when I look back on it, so I endeavor to maintain a good work/life balance. I'm no workaholic; family, friends, and even hobbies always come first. By all means, do a good job and always give it your best, but work to live, don't live to work.

Above all, though... I'm trying to find my star-crossed lover. I'm really quite a romantic at heart, and I believe in true love. I seek my soulmate, the woman who completes me, who is the missing half of my soul, and to whom I can be the same. I want to smile at you, with you, laugh together, cry together. To grow. To learn. To create beautiful and wonderful things together, whether it's stories, a family or just memories. To spend a lifetime together. (And beyond, if science finally coughs up that eternal youth treatment in time. I'd gamble on the whole afterlife/reincarnation thing, but I like hedging my bets. *grin*)

Writing. I do it for a living, after all. *grin*

Being diplomatic. I find it really, really hard to be harsh or nasty to people. Sometimes this is a drawback, but at the same time I find it also means that most people feel comfortable around me.

Making plans. While I don't have a rigid daily schedule, I will usually have a list of things that I want to get done each day, and have given some thought to things like meals, chores and so on. I find it a great aid with managing my time and prioritising tasks.

Perseverence. Once I've made up my mind to do something, I tend to pursue it with a single-minded devotion. I hate admitting failure, and barring situations where I'm clearly out of my depth, I will often go at it again and again until I achieve success.

Cuddling. I seem to have a natural disposition to cuddling. I love wrapping up my loved one in my arms, resting their head on my chest or shoulder and nuzzling their hair. Depending on my mood, I could do it for hours. Or at least until my hands (or hers *wink*) start wandering...

Probably the fact that I'm Chinese, I wear glasses, and I'm taller than average for a Chinese.

I'm also told that I have a really warm, friendly smile, but I'm in no position to judge.

I apparently also look very "warm, open, and innocent", according to some of my work colleagues. Hah! They just don't know about my darker side. XD

I don't actually follow the music scene much. I tend to be rather ignorant of individual artists or songs unless they go really, really mainstream. Nor do I really have any favourite artists or genres; I tend to listen to all manner of music, and I'll either like it or hate it. I've noticed that I do tend to prefer instrumentals rather than songs, however, and I have a rather sizeable collection of music extracted from various video games!

Food:
- Chinese (duh)
- Japanese (especially sukiyaki!)
- Fast Food (I confess to needing a fortnightly dose of McDonald's)
- Eggs (cooked in any style)
- Sultanas (I like raisins too, but sultanas taste better!)
- Ice Cream
- I'll try almost anything at least once, however, as long as it's cooked. I refuse to eat anything that's raw (this includes salads), except fruits.

Video Games: I know it wasn't mentioned, but given how much I love video games (and since I'm looking for someone who's equally into video games as I am), I thought I'd put this here too. Some of my all-time favourite video games are:

If you haven't figured it out already, I absolutely LOVE roleplaying games (RPGs), although I play a wide variety of other games including first person shooters (FPS), real-time strategy (RTS) and simulation games. In fact, the only games that I WON'T play are sports games and driving games.

Well, excluding the essentials like food and water...

1. My computer - I've got practically everything on there, my work, my games, my stories, my D&D campaigns... Yes, I do back everything up regularly.

2. The Internet - Yes, I get withdrawals if I'm unplugged for too long. It's my connection to the world!

3. Family and Friends - An introvert I may be, but as the old saying goes, "No man is an island." The support of family and friends during hard times is something that I deeply cherish and value.

4. Laughter - With everything that's going on in the world, you need to be able to find things to laugh at. A daily dose of webcomics usually helps with this. *grin*

5. Love - Some men can live without love. I'm not one of them. Having known and experienced the incredible bliss that comes from knowing that you love someone, and that they love you just as much in return, it's something that I know I cannot be without.

6. Sex - Hey, unlike most men, at least I'm openly admitting it! *wink* Seriously though, I consider sex to be an integral part of building intimacy in a relationship. It is a wonderful, amazing act that should be shared only with a person you love and care deeply about. If you do, the bond it creates is nothing short of magical.

UPDATE: I think I've figured out why OKC refuses to give me the More Desiring of Sex and More Kinky awards! It's simply because I shy away from casual sex, or more accurately, sex without love. I believe very strongly in only having sex with somebody with whom you love and/or care deeply about, so I'm constantly putting "No" on the tests where they ask whether I'd bonk strangers (hot or not) or celebrities, or want to bonk a lot of people, or have groupsomes.

But if you're that person I love, you'd best watch out in bed. There's LOTS I'm eager to try. *wicked grin*

7. My glasses - OK, I confess. I need my glasses to function. I'm as blind as a mole without them. I have considered LASIK, but I get really squeamish at the thought of letting somebody near my eyeballs with a laser. >.>

Some extra things that aren't essential... But help make life worth living:

- Gummi/Starburst fruits
- Long, hot showers
- The smell of freshly baked bread. Or frying garlic.
- Polyhedron dice
- The smell of pine trees after a fresh rain.

- Snuggling up with my significant other under a warm blanket on a cold winter's morning.

1. The video game I'm currently playing. As a consummate planner, I tend to devote (probably excessive) amounts of time formulating strategies, plans of attack etc... Or simply just mulling over some particularly interesting conversations or plot twists.

2. My D&D campaign. I enjoy creating an intricate, elaborate world for my players to adventure in, and I frequently do my best to work in elements of their backstories to make the campaign seem a lot more personal for them. I readily admit I also take a somewhat sadistic pleasure in creating extremely dangerous and powerful monsters for them to face. *evil grin*

3. Ludicrous solutions to world problems. For instance, if I was Supreme Overlord of the World, I'd... Ohh no, you won't get me to reveal my secret plans that easily! You'll have to message me to know more!

4. Mulling over the meaning of life, and whether there is an afterlife.

5. Wondering whether there are intelligent alien races out there... And what they think about us as a species.

6. Thinking about fun and interesting things to do with/to my lover. *wink*

7. Wondering why the hell so many of the interesting matches on this site live so far away from me! *grumble*

Settling in for a fun night at home, whether it be with the computer, watching a movie, or in bed. *wink*

It's not that I'm TOTALLY unwilling to leave the house, mind you. I just prefer to be at home at night, so I typically go shopping/watch movies/see events during the day.

I admit to some pretty private stuff right below this section! The entries here are probably going to be pretty tame in comparison. *grin*

a) Female. Sorry to disappoint you gay/transexual/transgender people, but I'm only interested in individuals of true female persuasion.

b) Willing to date/marry a Chinese man. Just in case you've SOMEHOW missed my ethnicity or my pictures, I'm Chinese. If that's not something you're comfortable with, let's save us both some grief and move on. :)

c) A practitioner of good hygiene. I'm not a germaphobe by any means, but if you don't shower daily (I DO make exceptions for really busy days or if proper facilities aren't available), you leave dirty dishes in the sink for days, or routinely forget to flush the toilet, we definitely won't get along.
