Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Why are all these favorites crammed in one category? Anyway...

Music: Mostly classic, 80's and modern alternative rock (Queen, AC/DC, Billy Joel, the Doors, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Fleetwood Mac, Metallica, The Offspring, Green Day, RHCP); movie soundtracks; European House/Dance/Trance; German music (Die Toten Hosen, Die Ärzte, Sportfreunde Stiller, Wir Sind Helden, Die Fantastischen Vier, Westernhagen)

Books: Harry Potter, Stephen King (and totally not ashamed to admit it), Anne Frank's Diary, The Outliers; I have to read too many text books for school to find the energy to indulge in fiction these days, but I do miss it.

Movies: anything Tarantino (esp. Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Django Unchained), Whedon (Serenity, the Cabin in the Woods) and Coen Brothers (the Big Lebowski, True Grit); anything sci-fi (Star Trek, Star Wars, Serenity, Contact, Tron), cerebral, independent, foreign (Amelie, The Comedian Harmonists, Run Lola Run, Intouchables, брат, anything Pedro Almodóvar); super hero (Thor, the Avengers, Kick-Ass, the Dark Knight Trilogy, Iron Man, X-Men). Just please, spare me from romantic comedies:)

TV: The Daily Show, Family Guy, Tosh.0, TBBT, HIMYM, BSG, Star Trek TOS, Star Trek TNG, Doctor Who, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, House M.D.

Food: chocolate, bread (I miss German breakfast!!), berries; love most foreign cuisines (Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Italian, Spanish, French, Arabic/Middle Eastern, Indian, Mexican) and am not afraid to try pretty much anything (except I already know I don't like inner organs and some such), can't handle the super spicy stuff yet though, but I'm working in upping my tolerance.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
In no particular order:
Laughter!!! Anything in life is more bearable if you have a good sense of humor.
Intellectually challenging conversation
My dog/best friend Luna
My car
Love
Nutella
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How to make my life count and be happy at the same time
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Hanging out at home with friends, going to a movie, or dinner, or a pool hall, playing video games. Generally just chillin. No clubs and shit, please!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
It's way too early for that:)

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You have a conversation opener that goes beyond a one-liner about how my day/weekend/ has been thus far.
You know the difference between "your and you're", as well as "there, their and they're". That shit will seriously make me lose (not loose!) my cool...
You're still a kid at heart but nonetheless have your basic shit together
