I am musical, comical, and laid-backical.

My Self-Summary

Uh.... Summary'd!

...

Dammit, it didn't work.

Anyway, I'm Nate. I work as a cook by night and musician by day, though I am currently without band. I am working on that. I don't know how to describe myself, which I'm sure you're ecstatic to hear since no one on here seems to know how to, but I'll try my best. I'm a laid-back kind of guy who stays rational and cool-headed in every situation. I like playing video games in my off time, or playing my drum set or guitar, and I'm usually always listening to music. I love talking about music, I could go on for days, but I've been told I'm easy to have a conversation with. I love making people laugh, too. I'm more of a... face-to-face comedian as opposed to an 'over-the-internet' kind of comedian (sorry to those who say "MAKE ME LAUGH OR I HATE YOU" in their profile, I guess inflection pays an important role in comedy). I'm working on getting a tattoo and maybe some piercings, so don't judge against me yet, I just haven't gotten around to getting it done. Uhm... I tend to be attracted to more... scene(?) looking girls. I'm not sure how you'd describe them. But tattoos and dyed hair and girls you'd typically see at a punk/metal concert. Not sure why I find them attractive the most, but that's me. Scroll down for more fun facts and triva!

I had an account here before, but I deleted it because it was outdated.

Also, a friend of mine on here is Omerta706. Check him out.

What I’m doing with my life

I worked as a line/grill chef at a award winning italian restaurant after graduating culinary school, now I'm working at the Chatterbox Pub (I like going everywhere and trying a bunch of different stuff), and I hope to advance up to an executive chef position at some point, maybe even go on Hell's Kitchen. That'd be awesome. Otherwise, I drum and play guitar a lot... or listen to music... or sing/scream music. I'd also like into learning how to brew my own beer, since I think that there's so much you can do with that.

I GOT KITTENS!!!! OH MY GOD THEY'RE SO CUTE!

I recently moved out into a new apartment with my brother. It's amazing. Hells yeah for not living with parents anymore!

And when I'm not doing any of that, I'm still probably listening to A Perfect Circle or Tool and just relaxing. Fantastic.

I’m really good at

Drumming, singing, screaming, guitaring, listening, kitty attending, playing DnD, games, cooking, baking, ice cream making, not quite candle-stick making, and just being there and reliable I've been told.

The first things people usually notice about me

I'm a dark-ish italian looking guy in a predominantly blond hair blue eyed state. Though, most people think I'm mexican...

But honestly, it's usually that I'm really easy-going and that I have a good sense of humour. I'm the kind of guy that doesn't pass harsh judgment on others because I think people are entitled to do whatever they want (within the realms of morality and for the most part, legality. I could go more in depth, but you probably know what I mean).

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Movies: Any Marx Brother's movie is always worth a laugh, Roxanne, Airplane, Robin Hood - Men in Tights, History of the World part 1, Star Wars Trilogy, Mewtwo vs. Mew, Romeo Must Die, Legend of the Drunken Master, the Drunken Master, Dynamite Warrior, The Delta Force (with Chuck Norris and Lee Marvin), Die Hard series, Rocky series, Spaceballs, Lord of the Rings trilogy, Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny, Lethal Weapon series (though it's been a while since I've seen it), Simpson's Movie, Super Troopers, Snake in Eagle's Shadow (Jackie Chan is pretty cool), Shenghai Noon, Thunderbolt, pretty much any Jackie Chan movie except Rush Hour 3. Ghostbusters, Rambo kicks much ass as well, Pulp Fiction, Unbreakable, and probably a few more I'm forgetting.

Music: Andrea Bocelli, Luciano Pavoratti, Happy Apple, Cradle of Filth, Lamb of God, Burn the Priest, Earth Wind and Fire, Yngwie Malmsteen, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Monty Python, Flogging Molly, Cannibal Corpse, Metallica, Megadeth, Audioslave, Blue Oyster Cult, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Pantera, Chimaira, Iron Maiden, Eurobeat, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Allman Brothers, Grateful Dead, Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd, System of a Down, NESkimoes, The Black Mages, Celtic, Rhapsody of Fire, Dragonforce, Dio, The Scorpions, Queen, Tool, Perfect Circle, Queenscrythe, Rush, Van Halen, Michael Angelo Batio, Deep Purple, Les Claypool, Primus, Opeth, Children of Bodom, Phish, Journey, Styx, Eric Clapton, Joan Jett, Dresden Dolls, Dandy Warhols, No Doubt, Poison, Ratt, Cheap Trick, Dethklok, Disturbed, Mastodon, Pantera, Alice Cooper, Dio, Boston, Judas Priest, Buckethead, Taranchula, Limozeen, Scorpions, Steve Miller Band, Dream Theater, Jethro Tull, Oysterhead, Alice In Chains, Emerson Lake and Palmer, Atheist, Zebulon Pike, Umphrey's Mcgee, Liquid Tension Experiment, String Cheese Incident, Mahavishnu Orchestra, John Mclaughlin, Shakti, Norma Jean, Devildriver, Dimmu Borgir, Amon Amarth, Finntroll, All Shall Perish, most swing music, jazz, classical, and many more. Yes, I realize that my taste in music makes absolutely no sense, it's okay.

Books: R.A. Salvatore and Richard Knaak's works, Scott Lynch, J.R.R. Tolkien, Bill Buford, Alan Moore, Neil Gaiman, Terry Pratchet, Eric Idle, cookbooks and shit. I know, my collection of authors is pretty pathetic, haha.

Food: Anything, pretty much. I'm biased towards Italian food though.

The six things I could never do without

Music, food, companionship, family (friends included), kitties, musical instruments

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Everything and nothing. Usually I reflect and analyze myself, or I just think absolutely bizarre thoughts like whether the government actually sank money into a study determining whether Sharks and M16's could be combined in an even more awesome killing machine. But not really.

Or song lyrics that I'm writing, drumming riffs, and new recipes.

On a typical Friday night I am

Uhm... I don't know? Since I can vary my schedule with what kind of job I'm working for, it can be different all the time. But if I have a Friday off, then I try to hang out with people and game it up or hang out.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I honestly don't care whether my socks match or not, although I do love dressing formally. I have a decent fashion sense.

Actually, I don't like socks in general.

Real one is that I've only ever had two girlfriends. I guess that's not a big deal but some people go "What the hell generation are you from?"

I dunno, I'm an open guy. Ask me and I'll probably tell you.

You should message me if

You've fired a guy because he said that the world never had dragons. Or if you got that reference.

Seriously though, you should message me if you want to have some cool conversations.

Bonus points!
- if you like metal, or any of the bands I listed in my massive list, or can introduce me to something cool
- You sing or play an instrument.
- Are awesome.
- Are nerdy. If you refer to yourself as an Otaku, you've gone too far. However, reading Kotaku is acceptable.
