My self-summary
I teach math at the high school level, am a self-professed nerd of many different types, and am a very enthusiastic/quirky individual!
What I’m doing with my life
Mostly teaching. I'm also prone to playing videogames, seeing movies, and hanging with friends when I have free time.

Pokémon X...just sayin'
I’m really good at
Math, video games, chess, pop trivia, spelling...hmm does spastic dancing count???
The first things people usually notice about me
The glasses and my odd facial expressions...I say the word "legit" and snap a lot
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books - Graphic novels, horror, math texts, and fantasy. I'm a fan of Clive Barker, Jim Butcher, Stephen King, Neil Gaiman, the Harry Potter series, the Twilight Saga (don't judge!), H.P. Lovecraft, Kurt Vonnegut, Gone Girl, Scott Pilgrim (duh!), and I LOVE the Millenium Trilogy!

Movies - I'll give almost anything a chance. I love scary movies, cheesy 80's action flicks, old kung-fu movies, James Bond movies, spaghetti westerns, and Disney movies.

-Taxi Driver
-Se7en
-The Professional
-Do the Right Thing
-Desperado
-For a Few Dollars More

-Evil Dead 2

Music - I listen to a huge variety of music. I really like old-school party rap, 90's alternative, funk, and classic rock....I'm tolerant of country. Oh, and John Williams is the man just sayin'!

I'm into watching SNL weekly whenever I can! Oh...and I still watch cartoons! :)

Food - Almost anything Italian. Also a big fan of Mexican food, but I've been spoiled with homemade deliciousness my whole life. Really fond of good enchiladas and chimichangas!
The six things I could never do without
old-school videogames
a good book/movie
chewing gum or a toothpick
good friends
kickin' tunes
my pup pup
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The Zelda Timeline. How often my life reminds me of the office scene from Brazil. How much of a beast Vincent Price was. The looming threat of the Sumatran Rat Monkey. Leroy Jenkins. Deconstructing Mohandas Gandhi quotes. The posterity/legacy of Broomhilde Von Shaft. The Short Round escape scene from The Temple of Doom. Felina. The ongoing misadventures of Hannah, Marnie, Shoshanna, and (to a slightly lesser extent) Jessa. How boss JT has gotten. Bioshock Infinite. Michael Shannon's thoughts on the political correctness of network television. Jaegers from other possible countries. MAGNETS!! That bomb-ass part in Blade 2 where he falls into the tub o' blood then immediately kills all of the vamps. Kenny Powers and his happy ending. ED-209's crippling weakness. Watching edited for tv versions of hard-R movies. The metaphysical implications of life in the Mushroom Kingdom. Why couldn't he put the bunny back in the box? The many reasons why I love being a turtle. Aya, Maya, Eve, and mitochondria. Rustin Cole and time as a flat circle. Dude...Game of Thrones. Fargo the series is actually good?! If you can't be with the one you love, love the one you're with. Tranformium?!
On a typical Friday night I am
Going to the movies, grading papers, visiting the local bar scene with my friends, catching a show, random shenanigans
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
When I'm really bummed out I watch the movie Se7en to cheer up. It sounds really messed up...but by the time it ends I always figure things could be a lot worse for me. At least I'm not that guy. Apparently random middle of the night duets with mí hermano cheer me up too...who knew!

I think that "Wonderful Christmas Time" by Paul McCartney may be my favorite Christmas song. I know that it's trite and poppy...but it is a guilty pleasure!

I'm not a very secretive person by nature...so if you're curious feel free to ask!
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 21–32
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, short-term dating
You should message me if
You think you are legitimately interested in getting to know more. Also I'm not really interested in anything too long distance...

Hmm...if you've both listened to and enjoyed the 12 minute Live at Fillmore East version of Machine Gun by Jimi Hendrix (not a necessity but a guy can hope)

You were able to get through my awkwardly long "I spend a lot of time thinking about" section and were more amused than weirded out

If you would like to get pie with me sometime! Open invitation, no pressure hahaha
