My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
My name is Chris. I like to think I'm a decent guy, though I'd be happy to give you the chance to talk with me and find out for yourself. I'm a bit of a geek, a gym junkie, runner, and occasionally I moonlight as batman(but really that picture is a bit old I do still have the costume). I love to hang out with people over beers or some pool, so if you see anything below that piques your interest shoot me a message.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working as a land surveyor, though you probably have no idea what that is. Feel free to ask me about it and I'll happily talk your ear off about it. Settling into Oakland. Wishing I had more time to devote to the gym.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'd say I'm pretty good on a longboard, and a pretty decent public speaker.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I really don't know. I'd guess it's when I open my mouth and say something sarcastic, or on a good day witty.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books... the list is way to long Asimov, Simmons, Gibson, Stephenson, Martin, Moran, Stover... really I could go on for days. I read an awful lot so in case your not a nerd, here are a few I've read that you've probably heard of; Harry Potter Series, Hunger Games, His Dark Materials, Ender's Game Series

Movies... Original star wars trilogy, Hard Candy, Hackers, Fight Club, Pitch Black, Fifth Element, Nolan Batman, Brick, Anything by Kevin Smith even that Jersey Girl bullshit.

Shows... Big bang Theory, Firefly, Game of Thrones, Orange is the New Black, Battle Star Galactica, Friends, Batman the Animated Series, Pinky and the Brain, Dexters Lab, Archer, Rick and Morty.

Music... I listen to a lot of random stuff bassnectar, zomboy, flux pavillion, Regina Spektor, flight facilities, cake, the ropes, lots of old jazz and blues, Imogen Heap, Lana Del Ray, kings of Leon just to name a few.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
A motorcycle, a longboard, a good book, the gym, good coffee, and a friend to share any of the above with.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I have a very existentialist take on life, in particular I subscribe the notion of the absurd victory. In a nut shell it means that the triumph in life is not an end goal its a process. If you are familiar with the myth of Sisyphus, basically the gods curse a man who tricked death to push a boulder up a hill and every time it reached the top he would have to run back down and do it again for eternity. The problem is for a man who wants to live what could be better, even though pushing the rock up the hill is painful and agonizing he's still alive. For a brief moment at the top he is free and he gets to run back down and do it all over. So I feel like life is about making what you will of it and enjoying what you've got. That's really only scratching the surface.

I try to operate with the motto of "Live life to make great stories" and so far I think I've made quite a few, I'm always looking for more people to help make this a reality. That said as much as it's fun to have these stories I would love some one to be able to sit down with and say remember that time we did such and such? Stories are great, but you need some one to talk about them with. I don't mind something fun and casual, but I would love to find something meaningful out there to.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I'm gonna ignore the Friday night part of this and just assume it means night off. I'm most likely grabbing some good food, a brew, and maybe shooting some pool. Or burning through Netflix.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I like when a girl knows what she wants and is willing to make the first move, at least sometimes. It gets old always chasing and it's a huge turn on to have a girl be straightforward.
