I'm a quiet man when you first get to know me, however once you get
to know me I open up rather well. I have a passion for
understanding people and can have a tendency to try and bring
someones true feelings to the surface. I place great value in
others who strive to understand themselves and can share their
insight with me. One of the most beautiful things about a
relationship to me is the process by which we come to feel secure
in allowing another person truly understand us. Not just the parts
of us that we show the world, but the parts that make us weak and
vulnerable.
It is not obvious when observing me, but deep down I am a passionate person. I have a deep desire to fall in love with someone and share my life with them.
I love ideas. I love thinking about new ways of understanding and finding new perspectives for the purpose of challenging my own opinion. I have great respect for someone who is confident in their own beliefs but who also respect mine. I would like to get know someone who is not afraid to sit in grey areas of life, not afraid to get dirty in trying to challenge what might have previously been a value they would not challenge.
I place great value in my relationship with God but do not buy into legalism. I can't say I belong to a certain denomination as I was raised Baptist and am currently attending an Anglican church.
As for personal interests and activities, I think it best to start by saying that I do not find a great need for socialization. I am an introvert by nature and am attracted to hobbies and interests that spur my imagination to places it has never gone before. This is basically a more elegant way of saying I'm quite nerdy. I play video games, watch super hero cartoons, paint sci-fi miniatures, collect Legos and Magic cards. I am not exactly looking for someone to share these interests with, however I'm not against it either. I believe it is perfectly acceptable for two people to have completely separate interests and still have a great relationship.
