My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Well now, my name is Josh and:
I've graduated Penn State University with an English degree, and I've loved every minute of it, and now....uh...what next?.

That being said: (Fun part!)
-If you read comics, you instantly win. That's it. You've just won everything. DC or Marvel, or the most indie of the indie, it doesn't matter, but it takes an awesome person to appreciate this type of culture. I love reading them with intellectual questions and insights in mind.
-My favorite comic EVER is Neil Gaiman's Marvel 1602
-I have a tendency to go on and on about TV/Movies I enjoy. This includes blabbing incessantly about who's cast as who, which Marvel movies are tying into what, etc. I have a freakish obsession. Also, I am convinced I am an android developed in some lab with the sole purpose of recognizing actors in various things from their roles in other various things. It's uncanny how frequently I recognize them. And scary.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Well I just graduated, and while fixing up the house a bit (I live with my awesome parents, leeching off of their generosity).
Also, having done an internship at school, I think it's both exciting and scary looking for a big boy job, but hey, I want to be working gainfully this time next year, and I think I can make it happen.

The leeching part was a joke, by the way.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I really enjoy writing, and won a medal at my high school graduation for contributions to the school's literary arts magazine. I don't like bragging about my writing, but I've been told by many people I have a knack for the written word.

I learn games really fast. Video, card, etc. I think most of them are really fun, and it's a skill I enjoy possessing.

Also the freakish actor recognition skills.....again.

As corny as this might sound, listening. I'd honestly love to hear about anyone else's day but mine. Even if I had a great day, I already know what happened, obviously. So let's hear about yours! I like talking people through bad days, and hearing about what went right if that's the case.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Well, the first thing people notice about me is the fact that I am bald and don't have hair. Anywhere. It just fell out over the span of a few weeks when I was about 12-13, though no other illnesses or the like came a long with it. Other than that, I've been told that I look kind of angry when I'm just sitting in class or anywhere else and not doing anything :P At any given time, I'm usually happy about something. I guess it's just the way my face is without eyebrows :P
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: H.G. Wells, H.P. Lovecraft, Tolkien, Ender's Game, The Wheel of Time series, Song of Ice and Fire, silly movie novelizations, and MEDIEVAL LITERATURE. One of my prized possessions is a fancy-pants copy of The Death of King Arthur. This is the ONE thing I would save from a fire....

A separate section I think belongs to comics. I was practically raised on them as much as I was more classical literature. I like analyzing comics for the valid literature that they are (They're not just for kids! >:( ) I read more DC stuff than Marvel, but honestly, I hate the competition between them. One's not better than the other; they're just grossly different. Anywho, my favorite comics characters of ALL time are BOOSTER GOLD and SHAZAM. Other than them I'm head over heels for everything Fantastic Four, Superman, and Justice League. Also, Judge Dredd.
Movies: MAN OF STEEL (Hours-long lecture on its merits available at request), the Alien series, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, the Hobbit (I was moved to tears when I first watched it, I'm not ashamed) DREDD (one of the best comic-to-film adaptations ever) Serenity, Nolan + Burton's Batman films, the Fantastic Four films (love/hate relationship there) 1978 Dawn of the Dead (still scares me), Ghostbusters, Skyfall, most animated DC/Marvel movies, many more I can't think of...

Guilty Pleasure: Bill and Ted...

TV: ALMOST HUMAN, ARROW The Walking Dead, Firefly, Parks and Rec, Justice League (This show is gold!!) Doctor Who, Pillars of the Earth, Vikings, Battlestar Galactica, Dexter, Game of Thrones, Next Generation, Dark Matters, every single 90's Marvel cartoon (Fantastic Four, Spider-man, Iron Man, etc.), Voyager, Deep Space 9, Heroes (It only had ONE season >:( , Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood (honestly an amazing experience even if you've never seen any anime whatsoever. Just watch it), Smallville!

Video Games:
The Last of Us!!!!!!! Injustice (love/hate), Left 4 Dead 2 is always good, FTL (Faster Than Light! Ask me about this! :D) The Walking Dead, various Steam games, the Arkham games (top-notch!) and everything I played in my childhood. Also, anything with legos in it.....
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
-A notebook to write in
-Something to write with
-My glasses
-My chubby goofy adorable black cat, Jack, who I raised from a feral kitten. Now he's a sociable little dweeb :D
-A cuddle buddy. Good part of any relationship, people. For real.
-The occasional quiet time
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I want to take archery lessons....

Who the hell created the word "daiquiri"?

Will we be able to have androids on every street corner in the near future???

What if we had to vote on what government-run superheroes would protect us as part of presidential elections?

I sometimes think about what it would be like to travel forward in time 10-15 years and purchase every super-hero movie that came out in that span of time and spoil all of them for myself....I'm over-excited and impatient about these things....
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Stayin' up all night to get Loki

Either at home playing video games or reading books/comic books. Also, I've taken to playing board games ALOT, since becoming addicted to SENTINELS OF THE MULTIVERSE. Cooperative superhero card game. Nuff said. Also, on a typical Friday I might be playing DnD with a new group :D One that welcomes more players if anyone's interested.....
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
The fact that I sing "The Rains of Castamere" to my kitty cats on occasion.....

Also: I may or may not be Daredevil. I mean, no one has seen me and DD in the same room.....

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
Well, I am pretty particular about girls appearance wise. I kinda require two eyes, a nose, and only one mouth. I'm less particular about how many ears a girl should have but one is my minimum.

You can provide two words who sound the same when you speak them, but possess exact OPPOSITE meanings
(A riddle! :D For bonus points)
Please don't break your brain over this XP Several people that I've asked about this become frustrated quickly...

-You're interested in finding out more information! :)
-We have mutual interests
-We have things that differ. This is honestly pretty important; I would prefer to share different things that one party might not know like the other does, or to even disagree about somethings. It's interesting and healthy to bring new, different things to the table.
