My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Statistically I would be considered an outlier.

I live life in moderation. I don't like to make assumptions or limit choice to tradition. I like asking "Is there a better way of doing this?".

'Life is like a box of chocolates. Not everyone can be Joker; some people end up being Batman.'
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Recently relocated from Seattle to the Chicago area until I find a better place of employment or other source of income.

I'm a software engineer by day who wants to make a difference by doing something to further the advancement of society. This is an aspiration itch that I haven't been able to scratch yet.

I like to dabble in many types of games, reading fiction, and general chit-chat.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Divergent thinking, logic, and application programming. They tend to go hand-in-hand, but they're also quite useful in other aspects of life as well. I like to find a complex situation, boil it down to its essentials, and then find a simple solution that meets all the requirements.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Things with a Science Fiction or Fantasy spin are exciting finds, whether as books, movies, or games.

Books: Honor Harrington by David Weber; The Last Herald-Mage by Mercedes Lackey; Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling.

Movies & Shows: (a sampling of 5-star ratings from Netflix) Sister Act; Shrek; Stargate; Ben 10; Spider-Man; Castle in the Sky; Monsters, Inc; Bones; Ghost in the Shell; Men in Black; Star Trek (TNG, Voyager, DS-9); Rush Hour; Murder, She Wrote; Horatio Hornblower; Iron Man.

Music: Pop, Rock, Electronic, Dance, Vocal, Classical, etc. I'll even listen to some country from time to time, though it's uncommon. The only types I distinctly dislike are Rap and Metal.

Food: It's all about the variety, whether Ethiopian, Thai, Chinese, Japanese, American, or other cuisines. I don't have any food allergies but light on the celery and onions please.

Games: Batman Arkham, Don't Starve, Borderlands, Payday, Resident Evil, FTL, Civilization, Age of Empires (there's some nostalgia for you), and more. Co-op is also at the top of my list. [See: Steam Profile]
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
* Integrity & Trust
* Strong Principles of Equality & Balance
* Internet / Phone / Computer
* Peppermint Mocha or Smoothies
* Cafes
* Variety
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
It's Friday so I should answer this. (wait, no, it's Saturday .... ugh, screw it; every day is typical)

Today I went to Starbucks for a couple of hours with my laptop and dealt with emails, checked out OkCupid, browsed Reddit, and listened to music. Then I moved to Panera Bread where I had a sandwich and continued all the previous items.

After this I'm going home to play some games on my laptop, watch an episode or two of something on Netflix, and think about the things I need to get done before Monday and what things I should do next week and the steps necessary to do them. Right now this includes job hunting and life planning.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm more interested in cuddling and going on adventures than hookups.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You are someone who says what they're going to do and does what they say they're going to do.

* Looking for casual co-op partner for games like Portal 2, Borderlands 2, Mario Kart, Smash Brothers, Mario Party, ...
* Would like to get out and share an event, like going to the Symphony or walking along the water front or through a park.
* Have an interest in learning ballroom and/or swing dance together.

Or just want to grab coffee/tea and talk about computers, work, games, or even just the weather. Casual conversations are great.
