My self-summary
I'm a chilled out dude lookin for a chilled out girl. I like sitting on park benches on sunny days, having a smoke and watching the people walk by. Just looking for someone to spend the days with. I am a happy person and usually in a good mood. I am calm, pensive, thoughtful, curious, silly most of the time and serious some of the time.

I like listening to music, watching movies and TV. I like going to the movies. I might call myself a movie buff though I admit I haven't seen a lot of the classics. I like to read. I'm usually reading 3 or 4 books at the same time. I like to go out to eat and try new things. I like comic books and video games. I go to Comic Con every year. I like wasting hours on the Internet. I like to explore and see new places and things. I dream of one day riding a motorcycle across the U.S. I have no pets but I do like cats and may get one soon as it's been a long time since I've had a roommate of the feline persuasion.
What I’m doing with my life
I work as a concierge at a boutique hotel in Manhattan. I don't mind it most days.

I also go to Brooklyn College, working on my second bachelors in finance.

I plan to one day start my own business.
I’m really good at
Smiling, people watching, parallel parking, speaking clearly and standing around looking cool. (I'm not actually cool, but I can look cool when I want to.)

I'm pretty good at riding my bike with no hands. Making eggs. Starting books and not finishing them. And I can play the banjo a bit. I'm still learning.

Oh, and I can grow a fuckin' sweet mustache.

Update: I do not currently have a mustache. Just a perpetual scruff these days.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: I enjoy fantasy novels. Currently attempting to fill the void of Game of Thrones off season by reading A Song of Ice and Fire. Finished the first, now on the the second! Some other favorites include: Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell by Susanna Clarke, A Wizard of Earthsea by Ursula K. Le Guin, The Once and Future King by T.H. White. Also love Sherlock Holmes and Harry Potter. I also read a lot of non-fiction. I love learning new things. Some favorite subjects include: US history, world history, finance, economics, biology, anthropology, geology, astronomy. Also read a lot of comics; Marvel, DC, indie, graphic novels, you name it.

TeeVee: Lately I've been into the new Cosmos. Portlandia. The new Community season is good. Game of Thrones, of course. And Seinfeld reruns. Always.

Moving Pictures: Se7en, Amelie, The Fifth Element, Aliens, Pan's Labyrinth, Spirited Away, Star Wars, The Descent, The Abyss, The Thing, Tarantino, early Jim Carrey, early Bill Murray.

Upbeats and downbeats: Mostly indie pop and indie rock with a healthy dose of classic rock. Some favorites: Tegan & Sara, Mates of State, The Kills, The Raveonettes, Against Me!, Murder By Death, Tilly & the Wall, Florence + the Machine, The Shins, The New Pornographers, Frightened Rabbit, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Queen, Tom Petty, Fleetwood Mac, The Beatles, the 90s, 80s pop, 70s classic rock, the 60s

Foodstuffs: I'll eat just about anything and enjoy it. But I do really enjoy sandwiches. Put something between two slices of bread and I'm sold. Also nachos. Love nachos. Always on the lookout for new nachos to try. Got a place to recommend?
The six things I could never do without
The internet: an endless source of information and entertainment.

A music playing device: gotta have my jams

The Gentleman's Trifecta: Wallet, keys, phone.

A weekend: 40 hours and I'm out!

Sunny days: make you happy to be alive.

Friends: they keep you sane.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The future. Mine and also the world's.

Finance and the economy.

Women and relationships.
On a typical Friday night I am
If I'm not working I may be out doing something social with friends. At a restaurant/bar or maybe an art opening. Or I may just be at home ordering delivery and watching TV/playing video games/reading.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I like to sing in the shower when nobody is home.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 21–35
  • Near me
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
Just looking for a genuine person to spend time with who has similar interests, ideals, goals and sense of humor. Someone to explore the city with. Possibly on a bike. And someone to enjoy lazy days off at home.

I like all types of women but I tend to go more for the tomboyish, girl-next-door type. Alternative hair colors and septum piercings make me weak in the knees. I like meeting all kinds of people though so if you read this far and liked what you read and you like what you see then feel free to say hey!
