My self-summary
Well, let's see here...I can be pretty goofy when the mood strikes, especially if I'm comfortable being goofy in front of whoever I'm with at the moment. I generally like being light-hearted about things and try to not take things in life very seriously. Don't get me wrong, I'm serious when I have to be and I know when to turn it on and off, but life is generally better when you don't sweat the small stuff. My sense of humor can be sarcastic at times. I also can be nerdy at times but hey, I'm a chemistry major so it's only fitting.

I'm sort of a Jack of all trades, except my name isn't Jack. I can cook (from scratch or a recipie but almost all my cooking contains meat so being a strict vegan/vegetarian, I'm sorry to say, is a deal breaker). I can fix just about anything on a car. This stems from my background as a mechanic which was my profession before I decided to go back to school. Working with my hands comes easy to me. I'm no bum around the house and can do a lot more than just replace light bulbs.

As stated previously, I'm a huge nerd and proud of it! Science fascinates me and I enjoy sci-fi too. I once had a discussion with a friend about Han Solo stating that the Millenium Falcon made the Kessel run in under 12 parsecs and we debated that the movie makes it sound like a parsec is a unit of time when it's actually a unit of distance. Yeah, that discussion actually happened. Either this story served to completely turn you off from me or made you think of my nerdy qualities in an endearing manner. I'm hoping it's the latter of the two. I'll play some video games too, but that's usually when I'm bored and have nothing else better to do.

I'm definitely a chivalrous kind of guy. I like opening doors for dates and stuff like that. I'm totally fine with hand holding and PDA's...actually...I like that kind of thing a lot. I'd consider myself an affectionate person for sure.

What I'm looking for: I would love to find a girl that is down to earth and has some nerdy aspects to her personality (Though, I don't know if a girl like this exists). It would be great to find a girl with whom I can be comfortable, totally goofy, and affectionate. Intelligent conversations once in a while are a plus; ditsy qualities can be a turn off. I want to find someone who will experience new things with me. I like to go out, but I also like to stay in too. A girl who likes to rent/netflix a movie, stay in, and cook a meal together will definitely catch my interest. Overall, I'm looking for someone to share my interests with, who knows what they want and is ready for it, and who will be my partner in crime. I'd love to find a girl that can be my best friend as well as my girlfriend. If I can truly be myself around a girl...jackpot!
What I’m doing with my life
I'm in school working my way towards a bachelor's degree in chemistry with a minor in secondary education soo...I want to be a high school chemistry teacher. Summers off sound really appealing, ha! I work part-time in retail to pay the bills. Retail...oh joy! (sarcasm anyone??) I recently joined a gym over the summer so I'm trying to get in the habit of going so I can get my fitness on. So far it's been going well!

Update: I just graduated on May 3rd! Now I'm applying like crazy to high schools in the area in hopes of landing a job for the fall. I really don't want to be one of those college graduates working some low wage job and not using their degree because of this shit economy/job market.
I’m really good at
Being a decent guitar player. Being a beer snob, but not pretentious about it. Doing stuff with my hands and building things. Oh, and accents...British, Indian, hillbilly, East Coast...I can definitely do those accents without totally messing them up.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm not sure on this one. You tell me! It may be my height, glasses, or my Chuck Taylors that I'm always wearing.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
My favorite type of movies would be in the action, psychological thriller, comedy, adventure, and sci-fi genres. It's just too difficult to pick a favorite from all the movies I like, though some of the movies that come to mind right now would be: The Departed, Interview With the Vampire, Super Troopers, Star Wars, Back to the Future, Fight Club...there's way too many.

As far as shows go, The Walking Dead is pretty much a must-see and I love the nerdy/geekyness of The Big Bang Theory. Battlestar Galactica is amazing. Breaking Bad for obvious reasons. Also, Netflix has tons of episodes of Top Gear (UK) so I'm working my way through those too.

I listen to mainly all types of rock music including pop-punk, alternative, and metal too. From time to time I'll listen to some drum and bass music and dubstep as well. I don't have a favorite artist, but New Found Glory, Four Year Strong, A Day to Remember, Pendulum, AC/DC, Killswitch Engage, H.I.M., Silverstein, and Paramore come to mind. It's really hard to put all the artists I like into a list.

I'm part Italian so I was born loving food. My favorite types of food would have to be Italian, Mexican, and Chinese.
The six things I could never do without
1. Cars
Since cars are kind of my hobby, I think I'd always have
to have a sporty car to go on long drives and speed a little bit.
2. My guitar
I've been playing for a while and it's something that's
enjoyable and calming.
3. Music
Almost everybody enjoys music...what's not to like?
4. Family and friends
They're the ones that will stand by you through thick and thin.
5. Beer
I drink it. I cook with it. It tastes good.
6. T.V.
No joke, I love tv and movies.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
the future, what I would do if I had unlimited funds, my fun car, if situations in movies were real, just plain ridiculousness, why about 80% of girls on here are either vegan or vegetarian...since when did eating a burger become a crime? nerdy chemistry stuff, are there still nice girls out there, oh, and what I would do for survival during a zombie apocalypse!!
On a typical Friday night I am
Lately I've just been staying home and netflixing a movie. (yeah, I just used netflix as a verb. Wanna fight about it?<--not being serious. It's a reference to something. +1 coolness if you get it.) Student teaching is finished now so I have more time to go out. Usually I'll just hang with friends and do something low key. Since it'll be getting nicer out, maybe I'll check out some local car shows.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Sometimes I'll blast dance music and jump around the house if no one is home.

Sometimes I forget who's profile I've clicked on.

I think fair skin on girls is quite attractive.

Once on a trip to Northern Wisconsin, I wanted to see how fast my car would go...I found out.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 21–28
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating
You should message me if
you got to the bottom of this lengthy profile, you liked what you read and think that we'd hit it off, you're looking for something that has the potential to be long-term, you're chill, down to earth, but have a silly/nerdy/geeky side, and you should message me if you think you might want to meet up. That's what this whole website is for isn't it?

Also, I'm a sucker for cute girls in skinny jeans and chuck taylors (but not necessarily a requirement). And, I kind of have a height request...5'3" and up please? I don't want to seem like a weird giant next to you.
