I am alone, stinking, and unafraid.
My Self-Summary
my chest is a cozy nap spot;
i'm a new york homeboy, though much to my chagrin, people routinely
assume i'm californian (for the record, i love california. well, at
least northern CA);
sometimes i'm entirely too serious, providing future opportunity to
mock and ridicule me;
i'm fairly well-versed in the nooks and crannies of nyc and game to
explore the unexplored--like where the A train gets all weird out
in broad channel;
i want a second home upstate and a car (and need directions);
i try to pair wine with even the most mundane of meals--tuna
sandwiches and rhone whites rule my world;
i finish morning jogs in the park with celebratory iced coffee and
donuts;
i actually like dancing, or at least something i pass off as
dancing;
i'd like to think i'm a stand up individual;
i can throw you over my shoulder and carry you home.
What I’m doing with my life
media-related business-type-stuff for an internet company.
I’m really good at
eating, drinking, lifting heavy objects, snuggling...
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
music: sic alps, psychic ills, crystal stilts, thee oh sees,
brightblack morning light, nobunny, jay reatard, king khan &
bbq, hercules & love affair, beats in space podcasts, jacques
renault, runaway, erol alkan, optimo, old school hip-hop.
books: money; wake up, sir; the power broker; bright lights, big
city; middlesex; the brief wondrous life of oscar wao;
revolutionary road; a tree grows in brooklyn; the corrections;
clockers; empire falls; the wind-up bird chronicle. (i seriously
need to branch away from critical darling titles that everyone
seems to read, and could use a few recommendations.)
not a book, but i have to read the new york times on daily basis to
maintain my sanity.
food: cheese, avocados, guacamole, smoothies, meat.
wine: red, white, rose, sparkling.
The six things I could never do without
absurdity, v-neck t-shirts, western shirts, wifi, music, showers.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
way too much.
On a typical Friday night I am
preferably doing something cozy involving a good bottle of wine.
weekend evenings are such a shit show, unless we're talking sunday
night. this question should ask what people like to do on monday
evenings.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
i'm private.
You should message me if
broadly speaking, you've got it going on.
