Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I was born and raised in York. I loved my parents and brother even
in my teen years when it was so very uncool to do so. I went to
college in Shippensburg and I now have a bachelors degree in
psychology. My favorite things to do are sing, play the French horn
(well) and the piano (badly), watch rain storms, read, sleep, drive
long distances and cook vegan awesomeness. I still love my family,
and I have an amazing group of friends I am privileged to know. I
have been a vegan for about three years, but I don't let it
interfere with my life. Don't feel bad eating a burger in front of
me because I don't feel bad eating a salad in front of you! :-) I
am a Christian and by that, I mean that I try to live my life in a
Christ-like way. I don't think God hates people based on their
sexual preferences or whether they check in at church once a week.
I do think we should try to find the good in everyone, even when
it's hard to do.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work at a daycare center... It's not exactly where I saw myself
after graduating with a degree in psych, but that's the beauty of
my major I guess. Every human interaction applies... even
interactions with 4 and 5-year-olds. When I'm not working, I help
out with my church's youth group, praise band and Sunday school. I
also participate in an acapella singing group based in maryland.
It's awesome! Aside from those things, I guess I'm always looking
for new experiences!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I can tell you one thing I'm not good at and that is bragging, but
I guess this is what this site is all about so here goes... I'm
really good at music. I love having an excuse to sing or play my
French Horn, but don't just say to me when we're in some random
place "well, sing something!" I hate that. I don't know what else
to say here. The pre-k kids I work with think I'm "good at
everything" but that's just because I can come up with an activity
on the fly to keep them busy and entertained for hours. I can also
pull my thumb off and do a magic trick I stole off of the movie
"The 6th Sense." :-)
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I smile at everyone... even creepers. That sometimes gets me into
trouble, but it's usually one of the first things people notice
about me. I think it's important to make people feel like they're
not pissing you off by speaking to you, plus I just like smiling.
Besides that, I guess people would notice the usual things... my
body type, the clothes I'm wearing, my dark hair and eyes... what
their opinion of these things are, I have no idea, and honestly, I
don't really care. I do what I want and wear what I want and I
wouldn't expect anything less from anybody else. I act like myself
so I don't attract anyone under false pretenses and I'm blessed to
have so many real and genuine people in my life because of that.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
My favorite book is The Awakening by Kate Chopin. It's my favorite
because I had a teacher in 11th grade who loved it and read it to
us in class. "Sometimes you have to watch somebody love something
before you can love it yourself." And that is a quote from another
one of my favorite books, Blue Like Jazz by Donald Miller. My
favorite children's book is A Bad Case of Stripes. It's a great
book about being yourself because trying to please everybody else
will just end up making you crazy. Favorite movies are always
changing as well as favorite shows. I have netflix now so movies
and shows just wander in and out of my life and kill time. All time
favorites include anything Joss Whedon had anything to do with and
90s Nickelodeon. I can't really pin down my musical taste. I listen
to a bit of everything... less country, but I do enjoy a good
Amarillo Sky every now and then. Being a vegan limits the food
choices a bit, but not as much as you migh think. I love fruits,
veggies, brown rice, legumes, pasta and vegan ice cream! Favorite
fruits, oranges, strawberries and Fuji apples. Favorite veggies,
sweet potatoes, broccoli and cucumber!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Family, friends, music, books, a good pair of walking shoes and my
cell phone (no apps, just for meeting up with friends)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I guess I spend a lot of time these days thinking about kids... not
having them or anything... but I'm a teacher and have teacher
friends and we talk about kids. I think it's a good time to
interject something. I have a few things that are very important to
me. Those things are God and His church, kids that I work with and
healthy vegan food. If you can't run with someone who likes to talk
about these things, please don't bother with me, honestly. I'm not
looking to date another person who hates everything I enjoy in
life. That's all for the negative talk. Moving on...
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
That's tough because every Friday night is different. Usually
meeting up with a friend or two doing something new or
interesting... always open to new ideas! :-)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'll admit to almost anything, I just need a bit of a jumping off
point. I'm better with questions. What do you want to know?

You should message me if you are a man who knows how to treat a
lady with respect. I can't believe this even needs said, but if
your idea of being open and honest is making a comment about my
boobs or asking if I like blowjobs, please look elsewhere.
