My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I was born in the islands, raised in NYC...fell in love with NL. Generally a relaxed person that take people for who they are. I can be fiesty if a situation calls for it. Like witty, edgy convo. Looking to meet new people. Get along best with calm types that don't take my quirkiness too seriously. Introverted. When comfortable I'm playful and silly.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working in publishing. Just kinda trying to find my place in the world really. Yes, at 37. I'm a firm believer that what screws us up most in life is the picture in our head of how it's supposed to be.

Things have been pretty interesting so far...
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
...being insightful, being observant, being a good friend, being an introvert, remembering dreams, cooking, being impulsive, being spastic when I really like someone ...would be nice if you find that sorta thing cute n charming lol
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I get comments about eyes and smile. I say that in all modesty.

The list is too numerous to mention, but: We need to talk about Kevin, A million little pieces, The Alchemist, I know this much is True, The Life of Pi, The Third Life of Grange Copeland are just a few of those I remember liking. ....I know, trés Oprah's book list. Don't judge me.

I like Action Thrillers, Drama, Comedies (ANYTHING with Seth Rogen), some Animation and moody weird foreign flicks. Some I remember liking: Snatch, Crash, Four Nights with Anna, Un prophète, Or, Four Brothers, 50/50, Grave of the Fireflies, Cidade de Deus, Mary and Max (NOT a RomCom).

TV shows that I don't mind watching: Random Documentaries, Game of Thrones, True Detective, Orange is the New Black, Viking, Family Guy, The Big Bang Theory (whenever I watch this show I wonder why those guys aren't MY neighbors).

TV shows that I would sooner poke my own two eyeballs out with a rusty nail than watch: Jersey Shore, Desperate Housewives...matter of fact any show with the word Housewives, Idol, Talent, Voice, Dance or Factor. I think you get where I'm going with this.

I don't think I own a whole album of any one artist. Just a big collection of songs that mark experiences over the years. A few artist/songs I like: Smashing Pumpkins, Seu Jorge, The Breeders (Cannonball), Nouvelle Vague, The Knife (Heartbeats ...and the José González cover), STP, Portishead, Jimi, Radiohead, Carla Bruni (Quelqu'un m'a dit), Mos Def, Lykke Li, Buena Vista Social Club, Pearl Jam (Yellow Ledbetter... awesome guitar intro, I love guitar), Jill Scott, The Cranberries, Ray Lamontagne, Elliot Smith.

I'm an adventurous eater. I'll try mostly anything long it's not moving ...or hemorrhaging heavily on my plate. ...or oozing, No oozing...or insects...or has raw eggs all over it. Yeah. That's it.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My Family
My Beliefs
My Passport
My Lappy
My ability to laugh at myself sometimes...meh...all the time.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What's next? My life. Risks I've taken. Choices I've made.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I've bowed out gracefully from the club scene and migrated to the land of cultural events and open air festivals.
But for the most part curled up on the couch recovering from the week, or out having dinner and/or drinks with a friend.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Should we meet, hit it off and have a little fun, that's great. Don't try to microwave it.
