My Self-Summary

I'm a sociable lady with a good sense of humor. I like going out, listening and dancing to music but lounging around at home in the company of others, cooking and/or gardening also suits me quite well.

I've lived in two other countries and put a lot of wear into my backpack doing other trips. I've found that there's no better way to learn an immense amount about a variety of subjects, as well as life lessons, than by traveling.... well, then there's the internet and exploring space-time.

What I’m doing with my life

I teach ESL as my day job but am working towards a career in the non-profit sector in both community and international development. I'd like to work at the intersection of these two, bridging partnerships where partnerships are needed and supporting/coordinating/planning development projects. In order to get there, I've been volunteering loads and working on some cool projects in Toronto.

This is a huge category for me... they're major players in my joy of existence.

Music: Everything from organic to synthetic. Various electronic, alt rock, '70's/80's, soul, funk, hip hop, reggae, world. All over the place.

Food: Artisan cheese, chocolate, homemade pie, smoothies and juices, international foods, meats, fresh veggies.

Movies: Lost in Translation, A Clockwork Orange, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Welcome to the Dollhouse, Trains, Planes and Automobiles, Run Lola Run, Dirty Dancing, Back to the Future (I/II), Blowup, Bonnie and Clyde, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
