My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Obligatory mention of my inability to describe myself.

My name is Michael, and I like turtles. I'm an aviation mechanic in the Navy, and I'm really enjoying what I do. I've been in for seven and a half years, and I plan on doing 20. Retiring at 37 sounds pretty good, no? I just moved to the valley from San Diego, and it's a huge change for me. Looking for something to help me explore the area.

I'm into good music, movies, the occasional video game, good beer, nice cars, good food, basketball, football, Naruto, reading, Reddit, and playing games on my phone while I'm in the bathroom. I'm a vinyl junkie (just home audio - no DJ'ing). I love my Technics and my ever-growing collection of records. I happen to think Johnny Walker is a pretty cool dude, and Jack Daniel is quite the gentleman. I don't always drink, but when I do, I prefer good whiskey. I also enjoy a good beer.

I'd say I'm quite the mutt. A quarter Arab, quarter Mexican, quarter Spanish, and I got my skin tone from my dad's mom, who is a mix of all sorts of Northern European. Thanks for the lack of melanin, Graw.

Self-proclaimed all around awesome person. I think I'm pretty hilarious, as well. And I've been told that I'm quite humble. I wouldn't say I'm a mama's boy, but I do love that woman. I'm an only child, and family is very important to me. As are friendships. You'll see... if you're lucky. You know... because I'm such an awesome guy and whatnot.

Ok, Cupid, let's see what you have in store for me.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working, working, working. I work nights, which makes it pretty difficult to do anything productive during the day. Not impossible, but difficult. And having to work a lot of weekends lately doesn't help. But that's the military for ya.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Driving. I love driving. I drive fast, and I drive well. I'll get you to your destination faster than google maps says is possible, or your money back.

I'm also REALLY good at eating. And laughing. And talking. Well... listening, rather. Cuddling, nerd stuff, the occasional back flip, taking risks, unintentionally hurting myself, working with my hands, and the list goes on.

Among many other flattering titles, I'm known as a human jukebox. I can name that tune, and I may even know all the lyrics. I'd really like someone to do Bohemian Rhapsody with me on karaoke. Who's game?
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My big smile, my big laugh, and my big ears. Then maybe the baby blues.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books: 1984, Animal Farm, A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius, Palahniuk, Nelson DeMille, Halo novels, The Watchmen, Chet and Bernie mysteries, Kite Runner, A Thousand Splendid Suns.

Movies: Ok, I consider myself to be a bit of a movie buff. I have a huge collection of all types. I don't have any chick flicks, but I did very much enjoy The Notebook. Anyone who says they didn't just doesn't want to admit that they cried. I'd say my top five favorites are Across the Universe, American History X, Donnie Darko, Hot Rod, and Lucky Number Sleven. Oh, and Pulp Fiction. And how could I forget Snatch? Let's forget I mentioned my top five. Honestly, there are just too many to name, and I'm not gonna bore you with a huge list. And holy crap, Django Unchained. 'Nuff said.

TV: I honestly don't watch much. Mostly basketball. Other than that, I pretty much only watch Workaholics, Sons of Anarchy, Archer, and Sportscenter. But just like I love watching a good movie, I love watching a good TV series.

Music: If you recognize my username, we're gonna get along just fine. My favorite band is Coheed and Cambria. By far. I have all sorts of merch, have been to multiple shows, and even have a Coheed tattoo. The Mars Volta (R.I.P.) is my second favorite, and after that, it's a toss up. I like Thrice, At the Drive-in, Brand New, TBS, Killswitch Engage, The Cinematic Orchestra, Alkaline Trio, Eminem, Incubus, Immortal Technique, Jack Johnson, Lupe Fiasco, Jimi, Jimmy Eat World, Kid Cudi, Led Zep, The Beatles, Matisyahu, Queen, RATM, Rebelution, RHCP, Silversun Pickups, Yeah Yeah Yeahs,Sublime, Bone Thugz, and the list goes on. I'd say I like a pretty eclectic mix.

Food: Oh boy. Let's just say I like it all. Except mushrooms and olives. I guess if I HAD to pick some favorites, I'd have to say sushi, Thai, Italian, and an awesome burrito place.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Music
Reddit
Lakers basketball
Good conversation
Something interesting to read
Food
Laughter
I hate to say it, but... my phone
Google
More music
Friends
Family
And, seeing as how that's more than six, I could never do without breaking the rules a bit.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The universe. Just think about it. Like... whoa. We're on a giant rock, flying through space, around a giant fireball, which is one of BILLIONS in the universe. Many of which, could very well have a similar sized rock flying around it at around the same distance, potentially inhabiting... LIFE. There's just so much out there. It makes all of our problems here on this rock seem so insignificant.

And have you ever contemplated the life of a duck? I have.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Working. But if, by some miracle, I didn't have work, I wouldn't have anything typical. I don't go out TOO often, but it's fun every once in a while. If I'm going out, I don't care where, as long as I'm in good company. But sometimes I just wanna stay in and watch a movie or play Ocarina of Time.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I fully commit myself to my relationships with people. Whether they be just friendships, or something romantic. It's gotten me hurt in the past, but it's who I am. I figure it'll work out sooner or later.

Also, I hated The Big Lebowski. There, I said it.

You're a bad fish too. And if you like turtles. Or if you're a great cuddler.

OR if anything you've read thus far has piqued your interest.
