My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
In brief… I’m gainfully employed as a computer nerd / analyst working in Higher Ed. and love my job.
Primarily rely on public transport and my skateboard to get around, but own an awesome 1985 VW Westfalia pop-top camper-van (nicknamed “The Toaster”).
Consider myself a "maker" / DiY person and like to build / fix stuff. Have a deep appreciation for art, literature, and science.
I have a tendency to wear random costumes to parties and such.
Have attended that crazy “rave / hippy / art festival” thing in northern Nevada a number of times (Burning Man sucks! don’t go) and have helped create a few different giant metal and fire art pieces.
Occasionally I possess wit. I believe that correlation does not equal causation.
Love, unity, peas, justice, equality, green, renewable, blah blah blah progressive, etc. Realist with sarcastic tendencies.
I refuse to be lost in mediocrity.
I can be rather goofy.
Never let the truth get in the way of a good story.
Cellar door.
Lastly, two things that always make me smile: (old news clip) “Today in Philadelphia, a flasher was chased down and beaten by a horde of Catholic schoolgirls.” (and this from somewhere) “What do you do with dead people on your planet?”

* Side note: For clarification, the "Mostly non-monogamous" on my profile is in terms of dating (ie. not just casually dating one person at a time) and is different then how I engage in a committed relationship.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Striving for self improvement, awareness and knowledge. Continue creating and building. Using my talents to try and make the multiverse a better place.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Figuring things out / creating solutions, building stuff and technology.
Reading to someone.
I've been told I'm good at listening and bring a calming presence.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Not really sure. It could be some random outfit I'm wearing or my shoes or how I gesture or that I'm very polite or the laser beams shooting out of my eyes.

I will try and be brief.
Currently working on 4 books: Slaughterhouse Five (Vonnegut), Cosmos (Sagan), Moby Dick (Melville), Columbine (Cullen).
In General, other books I love: Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (Adams), The Lover (Duras), Life of Pi (Martel), Contact (Sagan), Heart of Darkness (Conrad), Lolita (Nabokov), Mists of Avalon (Bradley), The Sun Also Rises (Hemingway), The Diaries of Anais Nin, Tolkien in general, stuff about the Glass family (Salinger), Frankenstein (M. Shelly) A Prayer for Owen Meany (Irving), and I could go on and on.

Movies: All of Wes Anderson's stuff, dark twisted stuff (such as Donny Darko), sci-fi stuff, Terri Gilliam stuff, dark comedy stuff, Cohen Brothers' stuff, post-apocalypse stuff (such as The Road... I really need to read the book), and movies that make me think.

Shows: Breaking Bad, Battle Star Galactica, Game of Thrones, Cosmos, Through the Wormhole (well, any science show), Daily Show, Colbert, Archer, Bob's Burgers, Frontline, Between Two Ferns.

Music: Very wide variety. From Johnny Cash to Sigur Ros, Nick Cave to The Chemical Brothers, The Cure to The Lumineers, Mozart to Orff. I hate Christmas music with a passion. You get the idea.
Food: Sushi for the win.
The six things I could never do without

questions that ask me to make a list
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Guv = (8*pi*G/c4) Tuv
Where G is the Newton Gravity constant
Guv is the space curvature tensor measured in units of Pressure
Tuv is the Stress energy Tensor measured in units of Pressure
c is the spead of light as measured in local space (in meters / seconds)
I'm not sure what all this means, but I know it has something to do with how light is bent by mass and gravity and it's association to the space time continuum. The bending of light (which has no mass!?!) and time travel is fascinating to try and understand even though this is kind of over my head (maybe I should have studied astrophysics instead of English lit). If you can help me, please chime in.
Oh... and don't get me started on the Fermi Paradox.
- grrr... and now I think a lot about the algorithm OKC uses to create that damn match percentage thing.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
chasing fairies through the forest wearing only a leather Versace thong and dollar store flip-flops... err, I mean it depends on my mood.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I sleep naked.
