My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm looking to meet someone that's fun and funny. And intelligent. And hot. Clearly I don't ask for much.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
A couple of years ago I left my job in publishing/advertising sales, and am now studying English Literature at the University of Edinburgh. I have not regretted this choice for a single second.

When I'm not studying or working I train at karate, attempt to rock climb, and occasionally ski. I've also recently developed a love of surfing, and am very keen to fit in as many trips as possible before the sea freezes over for the season.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Using unlikely objects to open bottles.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've honestly no idea, though I have been told that I'm usually heard before I'm seen.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I read a lot, partly because of my degree and partly because I love it. I've fairly eclectic tastes. For example, I was just reading Don Quixote, but had to put it aside to read Kick Ass 2.

Musical taste is similarly varied. I'm a big fan of Pink Floyd, Alan Parsons Project, White Stripes, King Crimson, Philip Glass, Elbow, Gorillaz, Midnight Juggernauts, Band of Skulls... the list is nearly endless.

I watch far, far too many films to try and pick out favourites. As for shows, I know it's pretty much obligatory but I have been loving Game of Thrones (having devoured all the books in a few weeks), and have more than a passing obsession with Archer. Firefly also deserves a mention here, as does the timeless classic that is Garth Marenghi's Darkplace. I've also recently discovered It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and managed to burn through it in a ridiculously short space of time.

I love food, and have to say I'm a fantastic cook, nay, chef. Also perfectly happy with a Dominos, or some other kind of junk food which contains your calories for the week in one sitting.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
There is, of course, the Holy Trinity of alcohol, caffeine, and nicotine. Aside from that, friends, music, and apparently the Oxford comma.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
This varies greatly, and often depends on what has annoyed or vexed me recently. There's no particular topic which dominates my thoughts; what I'm thinking about tends to vacillate between my immediate concerns, things I've recently read or watched, and completely inconsequential matters. Other than that I'm pretty much focussed on what the weekend holds.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Working. This is a relatively new arrangement and one I am not best pleased with. On a typical Saturday night, however, I will be doing something with my friends. Whatever this may be it will involve alcohol.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Sorry, but you're going to need to ply me with drinks first.
