My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
TL;DR: To live my life the best way for me and others likely means I'll need to be poor for a while and may move abroad. I bought durable things when I made good money, but I don't and likely won't have a lot of money for a while. If that's a problem, get thee gone.

Still reading? Pues, aquí estoy en todo el detalle que se puede llenar en una calabaza.* No hay espacio suficiente en ella, pero, voy:

On the Meyers-Briggs I'm an INTJ - I only lean "I" (introverted) and "J" (judging) though - fun fact, once when I was much younger I scored XNTP, dead in the middle between introversion and extroversion, and "P" (perceiving) in place of "J".

I have months-long phases where I feel like a homebody and want to stay in, make food, and keep it low key; then sometimes I have months where I feel much more like going out for shows or drinks or food - new places, I can always be talked into a favorite restaurant (or sushi).

Other fun factoids about INTJs: on a related test, this type is called "the Mastermind." True to form, I prefer to stay out of the spotlight but I'm always active behind the scenes. This is sometimes literal in my imagination :P for example theatre lighting is one of my dream jobs.**

I also come up with at least 10,000 ideas per day: ~5,000 of them with a multimillion-dollar price tag, maybe 1,000 useful, about 0.07 which will keep me totally intrigued for two weeks and then evaporate, and about 8.2 * 10^-6 which will stick (not that this means I will finish them, but they'll stick).

I once took the Big Five personality test and all I remember is that I am extremely low on Conscientiousness and Agreeableness. Well okay, I also remember the interpretation: that's not as bad as it sounds! ;) It basically means I'm a cluttered, highly-nurturing crank who WILL have your back if you have mine. Also I'm capable of really deep communication, my desk will forever be a mess, and I'm fairly often late.

I only have one pic for now because I'm on OKC semi-hiatus.

* This is the best I could do when translating "in a nutshell." As one of my many many excellent teachers from Spain said, "busca otra manera." Una memoria de "¿que te pasa, calabaza?" y estamos siguiendo una calle para el entiendo mutual. :P Y entonces, puedes ver que busco muchas "otras maneras." :P
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I may be flailing like a fish on a tightrope, but by god I'm living it.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Dreaming. Writing. Curating. Cackling, especially if it's dark humor.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
In slash written about me and my current housemate, the author said it was my slightly "not of this Earthly orbit" eyes. They are blueberry blue, which I hated as a kid and now I like. Apparently they reveal something about my personality if you look right.

Top 30, last 12 months, as tracked by last.fm. (The fact that I have this data may tell you some things about me.) Read it like an ingredients label, in descending order.

Translation: I am really into music, which is demonstrated by my ignoring the other types of consumables I'm supposed to write about here. :P I listen to a lot of folk pop, folk rock, actual folk (<3 banjo, have a mandolin I can't yet play but pluck at on occasion), plus electronic music from airy shoegazey-electronica to a little two-dogs-caged industrial, some hard rock, some actual shoegaze and/or "dream pop," and some beloved tunes from my personal 1990s. I really love female or female+male vocals.

I rediscovered radio a while back. I like having a stream that some other *human being* is curating. I listen mostly to Internet radio like SomaFM (Digitalis, Folk Forward, Beat Blender, Space Station Soma, Drone Zone), terrestrials online like KEXP Seattle, and KXRY (XRAY) Portland on 107.1FM: KZME is dead, long live KZME.

I did a 2-hour online radio show for about a year. It was a ton of experimenting and learning; the show came to have a pretty solid format and I'd like to resurrect it someday. I'd be thrilled if it were on the Real Radio even though nobody listens any more.

** I am as big or bigger a lighting nerd as I am a music nerd, now that you have reference to compare. Dimmers everywhere. Color-temperature and spectrum coordinated lamps. Fair warning: if you let me into your life I may start changing your light bulbs, but it will save you energy and you'll feel better in your own home.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. most elements on the periodic table up to and including, I believe, vanadium
2. an energy source to dissipate for the purpose of building order
3. tending living things
4. music
5. the lazers
6. yelling about, and occasionally acting on, matters of social justice, human rights and civil liberties. I run around and livestream the cops on occasion and also try to work on anti-censorship software.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How things can be better.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Wait til Friday and collapse the wave function.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm "good crazy."
